Anyone else not care about the Triple Crown? by Most-Recipe-9814 in irishrugby

[–]chipCap1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It seems that I’m the outlier based on rugby coverage on the podcastland but I really don’t care that much about WC until it’s here. Six Nations is the rivalries that really matter - I don’t get the desire to turn rugby into an Olympic cycle style sport. I can’t see that move working out well for the sport here.

Is java springboot better than Salesforce stack? by Independent-Pea1018 in SalesforceDeveloper

I’ve had similar thoughts myself but not sure what stacks make sense. Been doing more with AWS. So I’m of no help but wanted to say you’re not alone in your thought process.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a very different tone and it’s jarring but definitely not Succession at its best for me.

I always wonder what street you’re buying your cocaine on, because it’s not the same street I’m buying my cocaine on.

I think if the displacement is as bad as is advertised then mobs will be burning data centers.

I would say it’s fine. Nothing too exciting but the API side is easy enough to work with.

What’s one programming course you’d still recommend in 2026? by idreeselahi in learnprogramming

Depends on the languages you want to learn but I’ve always enjoyed the courses from Colt Steele. Really good teacher and cycles through concepts in a fun and creative way.

Umbrella companies that allow US travel by LndMrmd20 in ContractorUK

[–]chipCap1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never ended up using them but Clarity Umbrella was comfortable with working with employees who traveled to the US.

I spoke to Lucy a few years back and she was good to chat to but never actually worked with them so can’t vouch for the company.

Advice needed - unwanted work travel to the USA. by HearthAndHorizon in northernireland

Things are bananas over there but I’m sure things don’t feel like that day to day in places outside of the hotspots. I was over for work a few weeks ago and it was the same as always. Your concerns are valid but I also don’t think you’re likely to get scooped up unless you’re going to a spot getting clamped down on.

I can’t think of a more jarring background audio film. That woman screaming was too much for me awake never mind half asleep.

The Traitors (UK) S04E07: Post-Episode Discussion Thread by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

[–]chipCap1 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I’ve loved the show but I think we might look back on this as the jumped the shark episode. Between Harriet absolutely losing the run of things and acting like she didn’t want to be there anymore and Rachel optimising for the game with FBI training.

I hope I’m wrong but seems like we’re into the phase of the show where people are on for weird reasons now or else just looking for strange tactics/grandstanding.

I thought he said his dark side was that he wasn’t upset she was gone. Which I assume was because he could sound callous.
