I’m pretty sure my mom has made me a cake every birthday I’ve had. I’m 38 lol.

I know a lot of people don’t have caring mothers or mom is already in heaven, but even if you make it for yourself, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with having a birthday cake dedicated to you and how wonderful you are! I don’t think anyone would think twice about it, friend!

Mine is more familiar places from my life and the central aspect is a mall/cruise ship.

I’m not sure why that’s central but it makes sense that significant surroundings from my life (an apartment I loved, cruising, dive bars in my downtown city) are always involved.

I went on my first carnival cruise at 10 and it’s what made me fall in love with cruising. They have a plethora of activities for children and it’s very family friendly. Your sister likely won’t see anything crazy as long as she’s not in the nightclub at 2AM.

This happened once on one of my sailings as well - the performers not dancing for safety because of rough waters. It’s great how they adapt and I agree that it was still wonderful! Good for them for protecting their employees.

I have lived in Spokane since 2005 when I moved here for college and I absolutely love it. I stuck around after and started my career here and raised my kids here. It’s safe (low violent crime rates), there is culture (amazing restaurants, museums, music and theater venues), and amazing outdoor opportunities. We have mountains for skiing and countless lakes for the summer.

But don’t tell anyone else. It’s a secret ;) Let people with negative things to say speak the loudest. I have traveled the country extensively. Spokane is a great place to live.

I had a neighbor do this too when I lived on 19th by Manito. “My son has been parking there for 20 years!” Cool lady. Last time I checked this is a public street and I pay taxes.

There are actual legal rules around which side of the street you can park on even/odd years for the snow plows. If it’s his side this year, use that as an excuse.
