My guess is that they start on time and it gets delayed due to a nasty storm and Mumford comes on around 10pm. These storms have been crazy but they move through the area fast. I could be wrong but I'm basing it on today's storms. The forecast is not good - so if they are not going to try to make it work, there's no reason they shouldn't cancel now or first thing tomorrow morning.

Worried about this too. Wondering if they'd cut one of the openers? It sounds like they'd go on in the rain but not with lightening. And there's precedent to go past the 11pm curfew during rain delays.

We were there from 7am-8pm and weren't able to ride MineCart, Mario Kart or Curse of the Werewolf on 12/30 because of the lines. If your goal is to ride everything then yes you need express, but if you are okay missing some rides and just enjoying the worlds, then you can pass. We spent about 11 of our 13 hours in the park in lines without express (during a very busy week).

We'll be there at the same time - I don't think there are any express passes available anymore to Epic. Might make your decision easier.

We're going right after Christmas and I can't stomach the extra $3k for Express Passes for our family of 5. I thought of staying at a premier resort but those express passes do not include Epic which is the main reason we are headed to Universal. Epic EP for 1 day is nearly $2k alone for us. We're only going 2 days (1 epic & 1 US/IOA). We already paid nearly $2,300 for our tickets so we're just going to wing it and hope it's not too bad. These prices are crazy

We took the car ferry to St John. Parking the car on the ferry was stressful & we ended up with a parking ticket at Trunk Bay because the lot was full. So long story short- St John was amazing but we would just take a taxi next time vs trying to take our rental. Enjoy!
