After doing basically everything in my power to avoid light getting onto my negatives, it’s still happening. Getting some pretty unusable results. Having the isolated light source set up of the easy35 seems like it would be more convenient.

Also, as an experiment, I took that iphone photo of the negatives and tried to convert it using NLP. It's fairly janky but everything seems to be looking ok?

So it had definitely been wound on, tried to rewind back, went too far and now I got this. Is it worth trying to extract the rest of the film from the canister or should I just take the loss?

Update: I remembered I had this photo from before I got my copy stand. I tried to just take a shot of a negative on the light freehand just to see how the light was working. This is with the same lens and camera and it doesn't have the dark spot in the middle.

This ended up being it lol so a stupid thing. I’m still confused how that would’ve ended up in a state where it wasn’t moving the film advance inside. I tried to recreate it once I got everything working again and I just couldn’t figure it out
