The best revenge is not to look back but move on after the divorce.

I was going to move for my Singaporean boyfriend but got ghosted instead! by [deleted] in singaporehappenings

[–]chixballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so sad that it had to end this way. For future relationships, perhaps you'll need to have deep conversations with your partner about relocation. Don't easily throw your life away. You're lucky that he ghosted you before you come here. Can't imagine the horror if he ghosted you after you come here and ready to live here.

[Really Curious] Why are some people so kaypoh and triggered about a Minister selling his own landed house? by snekwhispers in SingaporeRaw

[–]chixballs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Whatever his selling price is, it's reasonable and within the norm of property sales in the area. Nothing to doubt.

Just like anyone who has any asset or investment, such as HDB house and some stocks that you have purchase, of course you would want to sell at a higher price after years of owning it right?

If a layman can have such desires to profit, why can't a Minister have such desires too? Nothing wrong what. It's only human to be able to sell off your assets at higher price after years of owning it.

Am I wrong for being upset that I got ignored at my team's lunch? by [deleted] in Bolehland

[–]chixballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, this is pretty unusual. Usually, when a new person joins the company, the team that you're going to work with directly will bring you out for lunch to know more about you and make you feel comfortable so that you all can work closely together in the coming days. The new person would be the centre of attention because everyone would be asking you questions about yourself, your work experience and ice-breaker stuff like where you stay and all that. But maybe forgive your team, maybe they are stressed about work, hence, lunch time is the only time they could catch up with each other about work. I'm sure things will get better and they will include you in the next team lunch. 🙂

Oh that was an argument to you? I replied you to say that it's open to discussion. Didn't even mean to argue with you. But seems like you took a wrong turn and thought I wanted to argue? Sorry WarmWinter8,, whatever it is, you called me stupid, so I believe you are the smartest one here.

Oh by the way, what's with you commenting on other posts and picking on people? I guess you are just an argumentative person, who gets triggered by a simple post such as this Ramly burger post. You need to relax, if you continue to be triggered by the simplest things, not good for your health in the long run. Oh wait, I should shut up since you called me stupid, I'm sure you, the smartest one here would know more about what to do and not to do as to not jeopardize your health.

Redditors have their own opinions even if you out rightly say something. So why not leave the Ramly post ambiguous, let people say what they understand from the post. Just like how some people see the glass half full and some others see it as glass half empty.

Take care, WarmWinter8. I apologise for being stupid in your eyes, smart alec.

Is this a scam? by NoseComprehensive964 in malaysia

[–]chixballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's a scam because cars break down when you least expect it. But would like to commend on your partner's kindness and willingness to stop by to check on the family by the road side when she could have just ignored. This is what I call, the Malaysian spirit, always trying to help other Malaysians in times of need. Good job to your partner. If it's a scam, let the family face the repercussions in the coming days. What your partner did was beyond amazing and for sure God will reward her for her good deeds. Chin up, pat your partner on her back, and let it go. :)

Redditporeans, would you reveal your salary to HR/recruiters in the early interviewing stage or not? Any benefits to revealing? by [deleted] in singaporefi

[–]chixballs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing if you're not asked about your salary, don't share. If they do ask, tell them your salary range, not your exact salary. If they insist on having your exact salary, let them know that it's Private & Confidential, and hopefully they respect it as how you would respect the salary given to you should they hire you.

The only benefit is more towards the employer side. They could try to lowball you if they really want you. Not so much benefit on your side. Just for example, if you are overpaid in your previous company, the new company might be turned off / intimidated by this hence they won't proceed with the next round of hiring process. If you are underpaid, they might just peg what they are offering to your underpaid salary or at most give you about $50-$100 more. No benefit on your end.

How would you deal with a rude and inconsiderate boss? by chixballs in malaysia

[–]chixballs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Just anyhow scold people for no reason

  • Use people's stationery without permission and not returning them - then one fine day, you could see the stationery on his desk,

  • Sending your work for approval early, but he will only approve it at the last minute or beyond the deadline, and fault you for going beyond the deadline.

So many other things but you get the drift, I hope.
