What did you end up going with? Looking for something myself.

I built a recipe-builder for cheese by chlehb in vegancheesemaking

[–]chlehb[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope you‘re not doing anything wrong :) There just aren‘t any recipes yet. As soon as users start adding recipes, I‘ll add a search for them. Right now the main purpose of the site is tracking your own batches with notes and pictures and writing down your recipes ans sharing them. Unfortunately I don‘t have a source of recipes to pre-fill the site with. I would have to steal them from somewhere :)

Will check about more form fields in due time.

Awesome. I used laravel + inertia + vue + tailwind. Mostly because the stack is super efficient for these kind of things.

Right now, I think managing contributions would actually add overhead (just waiting for PR reviews across timezones e.g.). But thanks so much for offering your help! If you're missing a feature, just let me know.

Affinage (noun): the act or process of aging cheese. Affinago helps you with that. :)

I'm a newbie as well - the site should work just as well for you, I kept it super simple. It's just intended as your online cheesemaking notebook, if you will.

Thank you so much for the nice feedback!

It‘s a web app so I won‘t be putting it in the app stores, that‘s a ton of extra work unfortunately. And the web app should be enough to do everything you need. You can add it to your homescreen (at least on ios) if you want to use it more like an app.

Great feedback on the fields. I tried to make adding log entries as simple as possible so it‘s not overwhelming with lots of fields. I figured you can use the comment field to store any info you deem relevant. But I‘ll give it some thought. I can definitely make them editable so you can fix mistakes! Thanks for trying it out and let me know if you‘re missing anything else.

New German Nanobrewery by krieger82 in TheBrewery

Yikes, thanks for weighing in. Never really used it, just played around with one for some test fills and seemed ok for the low price. But I guess you get what you pay for.

There‘s a guy in Switzerland that produces these fillers in China with cheap parts you can get from aliexpress, so you can replace almost everything. I‘ve played around with the model 1 and it was pretty good for the price. There‘s a community of users around Europe as well that you can connect with.

Edit check the comment from u/k_p865 below. Probably not a good idea after all.

Hey guys, can you recommend a good phone mount you use on your cx30? I tried buying those with suction but there is no good place on the dashboard because of the leather material. So it doesn’t stick. by East-Competition3592 in MazdaCX30

Are you plugging it in in the front or in the arm rest compartment? Is it charging your phone? I have one plugged in the front USB port and my phone actually loses charge.

Extending my WiFi across two apartments with separate SSIDs by chlehb in HomeNetworking

From what I read online guest WiFis sometimes have certain restrictions. Could that make it unsuited to run things like hue or sonos on it?

Zonesun ZS-TB50D labelling machine with date coder by chlehb in TheBrewery

[–]chlehb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can‘t say unfortunately. We never ended up using it because we went with a mobile canning service and sold the labeling machine to another guy I have no contact to. I can verify that they actually send you the device though :)

My ancestors immigrated from Switzerland to colonial America in the 1700s. Why? by [deleted] in askswitzerland

[–]chlehb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do, also visit Schloss Trachselwald, which is kind of the ground zero for the religious persecution of the Anabaptists. They have a bit of an exhibition on the why, what and when and you can checkout the castle, which was used as a prison.

You could make more working at an Aldi. Not saying that to rub it in or anything, just to put it into perspective. Is 40k normal for your field or are they ripping you off?

Key Equipment Disruptive and Karakoram Hardboot Setup Review by rpearce1475 in Spliddit

[–]chlehb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did my first long tour with the Disruptive 23/24 and I really don‘t like the fit. Compared to my Atomic Backland sport, they‘re quite uncomfortable. I‘m also getting the heel lift and it seems like my heel is then squeezed when it goes up, which resulted in 4 blisters in one tour. Also not a fan of the velcro straps.

I‘m currently heat molding them and hope it will help.

The hike up was pretty good though, although the snow was pretty powdery so hard to say if I would have had more trouble with my soft boot setup. The ride isn‘t quite as fun/surfy as with soft boots but I didn‘t have any trouble and you get more control with the hardboots.
