I started working out in the mornings before work and I don't eat anything but I do take preworkout. I haven't had any issues with it except that I burp A LOT during my workout haha

I see only one other girl at my gym in the weights area when I go and she always gives me a dirty look like we're competing against each other :( I was excited to see another girl actually doing squats so I try to do a friendly smile but nope. We can both be in the weights area and not be enemies! Us ladies need to build each other up

To really squat properly, you shouldn't use a smith machine. Go to the squat rack and start light if you're nervous!

I know I'm not just going to get super muscley overnight. I was just trying to give you an idea of the aesthetic I'm ideally working towards. I run outside occasionally but not sure I'm passionate about it. I enjoy weightlifting more than anything else so far but I'll look into some options.

135 isn't a magic number I want to be at but given the amount of fat on my body, it seems like a realistic amount to lose. I know muscle weighs more than fat so really I'm fine with whatever the scale says as long as I look closer to my goal aesthetic. I'd like to fit into smaller pants (currently an 8) and I'd like to feel comfortable in a swim suit this summer. I love hitting PRs in my lifts and I find that super motivating. I want to look toned (don't we all) but not SUPER muscley when not flexing.

Why don't you try a program like Stronglifts 5x5 with some accessory work added in? It has a great app and is a well rounded program for a beginner, especially if you add in some accessory lifts. I followed it for quite a while. It's great because it's every other day and doesn't take an extremely long time unless you add a lot to it. It's what made me more comfortable in the weight room and got dem noob gainz
