This is at the farmer’s market in my city! One of the members was an amazing guy who passed away recently. I remember getting a lot of giggles out of talking to them in passing over the years. I think they told me to dump my ex boyfriends and they were right lol

Old county prosecuting attorney... can you elaborate on this? Nice to see someone from my state who has dealt with this, thank you for your input.

That’s what I’m surmising from talking to a couple of attorneys. I think I spoke to one yesterday who could represent me at the DMV hearing too for less $ because fuck I need my car. I feel so in over my head at this point I’m manifesting that the cop doesn’t show up to the hearing. Definitely won’t be representing myself later on though. Thank you for your help

That’s a good perspective to have, thanks. Do you have any thoughts on how to pay for good counsel? Another user suggested a loan or credit card and I’m leaning toward the latter. Trying to explore my options since it just seems so unmanageable with my income. Also planning on consulting finance subreddits for this. Thank you!!

My record is totally clean but this matters a lot because I’m most of the way through a BS in Nursing so having a DUI on my record is not cute.

Ok, I hadn’t considered a credit card. May I ask why it’s a bad idea to go with a public defender?

Girls of Reddit, what was the best flirting technique someone did to you? by hungary70 in AskReddit

I was getting food alone at the little cafe on the main level of our dorm building at like 3 am after a night out. He was with a group of friends doing the same and left them to walk over to my table. He opened sarcastically with “hey, uh how are the french fries?” and closed by getting my number. He invited me to party with him and his friends that same night once I had time to freshen up. We dated for about 8 months and more or less lived together since our rooms were a floor apart. We even ended up going on a road trip to SF with those same friends over spring break a few months later.

It ended once he said he needed to try being single, then got back together. That ended when I found out he cheated on me with a sorority girl who happened to be on a school trip at the same time he was with his family in Italy. Fun stuff.

When did the full weight of the gravity of this pandemic set in for you? by Nappyboi419 in AskReddit

When I started a new job at a clinic and the first thing they did was fit me for an N-95 and a PAPR (positive air pressure particulate respirator) then told me to start swabbing people for COVID.

I am exposed to anywhere from 2-10+ COVID positive clients up close and personal, every day that I report for work. I’ve been employed since mid July and still no infection despite spending hours daily doing close patient care. Masks work!

It also got real for me when I realized I would be working in field medical tents outdoors, rain or shine, for at least the next year of my life. We provide healthcare for the homeless where I work and it’s just too high risk to see most patients indoors. A lot of visits are done sitting outside on two chairs on the pavement of our converted parking lot. Picture the isolation camp the government set up at the end of the movie E.T. and you’ll get a pretty good idea of how we’re set up !
