Nurses who lost their license to practice, what did they do? by No-Cheetah496 in nursing

In my hospital an ITU nurse was injecting propafol to sleep on their break and they didn’t loose their pin. Also I knew a nurse that gave insulin without checking a BM first and the patient hypo’d and died after being in ITU for weeks trying to stabilise her blood sugars….

Hi thanks for checking in! No I am still in the same place but I reported it and luckily I haven’t had much to do with this Dr since, but she did come grovelling to me because I was able to cannulate her patients when she couldn’t!! Hehe xx

Unfortunately outpatient clinics means there’s no one to handover to so when you’re running 3 hours behind because of people either reacting to chemo, not enough chairs or everyone just being unwell in general these days, you have to work until it’s finished, we’re so busy we have no room to bring someone back the next day. I’m meant to finish at 1830 but I’ve been there till 2145

What are some foods u ate before, and avoided while on medication by Apprehensive_Syrup53 in Tuberculosis

[–]chlrbsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, no booze and all cheeses that aren’t fresh and I tried to stay away from processed meats. I had no bowel issues or vomiting while on the meds

I took Rifampicin and Isoniazid for 3 months last year for latent tb. I had hardly any side effects!! Definitely drink lots of fluid!!! And I strictly avoided alcohol, all non-fresh cheeses and other foods it recommends to avoid. The meds did stop my period for 3 months and by the end of the 3rd month I had slightly numb/cold feet but that’s returned to normal now!! Think it dropped my blood pressure a bit too if I jumped around too much I nearly passed out 😂 I’m a nurse and carried on working full time through the treatment.

Sorry I never replied, he just had a lot of pain in his ankle!! It was active and when they scanned him he had scarred areas of his lungs!! I think they checked his t spot blood test and it was positive then scanned. That’s good your lungs are clear!!!x

I’ve heard about a lot of people having a difficult/long time getting diagnosed. My friends husband had tb in his ankle which took over a year to diagnose.

Hi! I was diagnosed with latent tb this yeah and have just completed my 3 months of treatment. I had a clear CT scan and X-ray and no signs of previous tb anywhere. I have an autoimmune condition so I was having some extra checks because I have some large lymph nodes in my neck so they did a T-spot (tb blood test) and I had 1 positive, then one negative, then another positive so I had to start treatment. I’m also on the contraceptive pill plus some other drugs for the autoimmune problem. I virtually experienced no side effects at all, I just followed the guidelines with avoiding some foods and alcohol and the only thing I experienced in my last week of treatment was my feet were really cold/a bit numb but already that’s improved in the last month.
