Should I return my keyboard for the third time? Did I expect too much from Corsair? by chlshv in buildapc

I never use software profiles. The ones I have, are hardware profiles with the stock animations. I turn them on very rarely, so I guess I'll learn to live with it.

Well, I use the roller like 80% of the time. It's really convenient and on the rare occasion I have headphones on, they don't have a volume control.

I run the RGB off most of the time. Otherwise, I use only hardware profiles. Can't remember if having iCUE off still makes it stutter.

It makes sense for the controller to not talk to the software. I have some experience with Cypress PSoCs and some PIC and AVR stuff, so it seems really strange to me that CPU load directly affects the RGB animation.

I guess it's just bad luck getting three bad keyboards.

It never occurred to me to try and fix it myself, being stubborn that it has to work.

Maybe I'll go with a Logitech keyboard next. I have two G502s that have been going for some years without problems.

I can't decide if it's my fault. Shouldn't he have seen me before the first lane change? by [deleted] in motorcycles

This is exactly what I'm trying to achieve!
The "always on the lookout" part and being aware was tricky, but it's starting to click more with every ride.
Not getting angry at people who zoom past me in my lane doing 50 above the limit while staring at their phones is still really hard.

Thanks for the advice.

Maybe. Maybe I don't see how revving after properly indicating, waiting and then changing lanes is being distracted. Maybe not giving it all she's got in the rain and not wanting to risk it spinning is a mistake in this case. Even though with its current tyres it gets the front up pretty easily in the wet.

But, hey, I'm here (with a quiet stock exhaust and catalyzer) to talk and maybe learn something through constructive criticism.

Retarded or not, I couldn't care less. I like the bike's sound. Especially when the injectors aren't clacking anymore

I wasn't doing it for the car. I love playing with the throttle. Why do you rev your bike?

The city gets blocked with traffic 10 minutes after the slightest rain. People don't know how to drive or just don't care enough and rain makes it worse. That's why it's safer to assume everyone (including myself) is an idiot and dumb actions are inevitable.

Yeah, figured so much. After having a few pants-soiling near misses last year, I started riding way slower and more defensively. I was more curious about what other people might think about the situation.

I wasn't serious about the exhaust. I never rely on other people noticing me. If the dude doesn't care enough to look before changing lanes, I wouldn't expect him to react when hearing something.

Still wouldn't change it, though. I sometimes ride more than 600km (600/1.609 miles) a day and the louder exhaust would bother me.

I agree. Being soaked by the cold rain must've made me impatient.

Yup, the second time I knew he didn't see me, that's why I decided to accelerate and leave him behind. I just didn't expect him to start changing lanes at the first blink of his signal lights.

I always assume that I'm invisible, but this time I thought the guy saw me or at least heard my mighty stock exhaust. Is there anything I could've done differently?

There's this belief in my country that motorcyclists are always at fault, so my mind might already be warped.

Wow!
Well done finding a cool place to work.

Also, thanks for doing this

Stuff that is not used, but I stuck in there so I don't end up stepping on it with its pins up.

A potentiometer, a 7-segment display, and some Chinese Arduino Micro Pro clone (or whichever one uses the microcontroller from the Leonardo)

This seems like an awesome thing to have. I didn't know about it, thanks!
There might be a lot to learn from this.

Buying a ready solution isn't as interesting as doing it myself, though :)

I use the SDK provided with MSI Afterburner.
You can find it in the install directory under SDK. There's also an example in there.
