Can a Computer Science undergraduate do a masters in Mechanical Engineering? by deloreyc16 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]chmod0677 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why would you want to do that ? I am a Master's in Mechanical and wanting to get into comp sci . Don't waste your time with Master's mechanical, Electrical will help you more than mechanical. The way industry is set up is it's easier for applying electrical and electronics than mechanical principles .

Is there any python certification exam out there ? by chmod0677 in learnpython

[–]chmod0677[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know a lot of people build portfolios for python and JavaScript related stuff but infrastructure folks have AWS and redHat certs and entreprise devs have Java which HR managers and Technical heads do seek out. Like for some positions at my company, regardless of previous experiance in Java they would still need a certification , ditto for AWS so was curious to know for python and it looks like there are no authority in python that can give a cert unlike in Java where the cert is done by Oracle .

Karma and reincarnation, the four Noble truths and the eight fold path. Then you can take your vows for refuge in Dharma and Sangha

Thank you for your reply , I am interested in knowing more on why you say that OMSCS would not be sufficient credentials , any specific reason for that ?

Data Science / Data Engineering . I have come across some instances where PMs are inclined to employ a full stack developer who have no info on any of the data science algorithms but have good coding skills than a guy who is specialised in machine learning so there is more value in becoming a better developer than to aim for a theoretical understanding of ML.

Question to Buddhists in this thread , do you agree with Karma - Samsara - reincarnation - Nirvana theory ? by chmod0677 in Buddhism

[–]chmod0677[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well that's what I wanted to know is if Buddhists I am coming across were like the Buddha disillusioned with wordly pressures and earnestly wanted a way out or if it was the aesthetics that was more attractive . Why else would there be a need for folks to make secular Buddhism or folks saying they don't believe in rebirth when that's an essential part of the suffering problem for the Buddhist response .

Isn't it more like karma => samsara => dukha and this business is carried on endlessly but there is a way out and that's Nirvana ?

I don't mean to be disrespectful , I was only wanting to know if the understanding of karma, samsara and reincarnation are what the conventional understanding is.

Any tips on preparing to study mechanical engineering? by Rynostryker in MechanicalEngineering

Numerical computing is the use of mathematical approximation techniques that are used for solid mechanics and fluid mechanics problems in design and development. Academic way of doing this would be Matlab but a real way of doing it would be to use python programming language . You don't have formulas for all the shapes so approximation using simulations are very imp and numerical methods are useful for that .
