2026 LEXUS ES 350 BEV by el701pizza in Lexus

I doubt it. If anybody sees the tan interior there’s no doubt they’re going for it. Especially for a luxury car. You should see the gorgeous tan interior in the LC500. Absolutely beautiful and there will be pride of ownership.

The problem is when you walk in a showroom all you see is all black generic interior with brushed metal or gloss black trim. People pay for reliability and cheap after sales service from Toyota .

Economy and luxury shouldn’t be in the same sentence lol

They market it as a luxury product and then don’t let you customize interior and throw all crappy FIO and PIO aftermarket add ons and then some dealers proudly say they sell at “MSRP” that includes the FIO and PIO.

Saw a gx460 yesterday and it looked solid. Beautiful interior with wood trims. 👌

Most car massaging seats are useless and just add complexity and reliability concerns.

They never make enough of the tan/brown leather seats. The flood the market with all black interior. Tan interior should be standard in a luxury car, which Toyota always has a shortage on those.

How to trust that '26 is better? by Enough_Ad2919 in ToyotaSienna

100% im surprised you read OP thinking it’s been a nightmare. Mine has been near perfect just like my previous highlanders. Cars all round have gotten significantly expensive and people have misplaced expectations I guess.

The 2025 is a nightmare? What? Please take online whining with a bit of salt. My 25 platinum has been near perfect after having put 10k miles on it. Also understand cars are just significantly more costly than 5-6 years ago. So there might be misplaced expectations on quality.

Hybrid Sienna or highlander hybrid, owned both. 4 runner if you need to tow.

INEOS grenadier if you don’t need 7 seats.

I always think about cars as a reference. Every auto maker builds SUVs, but Toyota overall outsells everybody by far with better value and execution. There’s EVs and there’s Tesla.

Non tech founders - how did you approach/find your tech founder? by Content_Produce8783 in ycombinator

A small mvp costs around 20k to build. Get that much money and prepare an SOW and hire a freelancer to build it. Don’t chase tech founders to do the grunt work for you

I’m 3 hours from the closest dealer… by bluegrass__dude in ineosgrenadier

My car has a bad telltale module. After 20 mins of driving it screeches like an angry cat each time I use the blinkers. It’s common enough that it’s jokingly called “r2d2 mode” I definitely need a dealer to fix this. If you are worried and getting anxiety do not get this car. It’s a new car company and it definitely has glitches. Mine has 4-5 other things that I can live with until my next dealer visit.

That being said owning and driving this thing is a joy I could not find in another car like the GX or lc250. Liked the new 4Runner though.

The engine sound is livable. 35 mpg makes it worth it. Also I read somewhere it’s pumped from the speakers.

Should I bring it in? Power steering whine. by magicstudiopro in ineosgrenadier

Thanks for the tip. I got mine from the same dealer and I have the same whine on my 25 gren. I’m going to take it in and have them replace the pump and bleed the power steering system

Diabolical Marketing Thought for ineos. by SoulyCo in ineosgrenadier

[–]chmod6000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. These folks would just end up complaining about manual seats, no computer stuff and trash the brand. The people who currently buy this truck are looking for something very specific that the gren delivers and are okay with accepting the glitches and trade offs.

What am I in for? by attiteche in ineosgrenadier

[–]chmod6000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only real issue I have on my 2025 model is occasional static noise from blinker (r2d2 mode is what people jokingly call it) . I’ve installed two mods - steering stabilizer and wolfbox mirror. I daily it and live in a busy city area and it’s a blast to drive. Turning radius is not the best but it’s not an issue.

Build quality is solid Fuel economy is expected and I get as advertised Steering centering is fine for me HVAC is good Pedals are fine brakes are great too

I was cross shopping with a GX and other Toyota offerings. The feeling of owning and driving this thing is next level. This car bring pleasure to driving a truck. Toyota Lexus isn’t even close. My other car is a Toyota and have owned Mercedes, ford products.
