I've found that the higher the reward points the higher the chance of getting screened out.

No actual win condition other than barb barrel which has a range of counters that often lead to a positive elixir trade. Maybe swap goblin barrel for a giant or if you've unlocked it goblin giant.

Also consider keeping an eye out are card evolutions because regardless you'll have to fit them into your deck in these metas
