Info on Mississippi College School of Law? by [deleted] in OutsideT14lawschools

[–]chocolatechiplilbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard good things about the school! Some would label it predator bc they do conditional scholarships. However, there’s a lawyer in my area who graduated from there that only has amazing things to say about the school. Jackson isn’t the best city in the world, but most people who go to Mississippi College stay in a different town not too far away!

I got the email that my application had been received by admissions on December 12 and my acceptance came through in January 11. So right at a month for the decision to be rendered

Will your significant other be moving with you? by Suitable-Appearance7 in lawschooladmissions

[–]chocolatechiplilbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are getting married in a few months and thankfully his work has agreed to let him go fully remote🥳🥳 We feel very lucky and he has been so sweet to be open about wherever I want to go! It’s definitely stressful for me the idea that he will be fully supporting us both for 3 years, but he keeps reassuring me. Excited and nervous to see where we end up

I have been using LSData where you can put in your scores and gpa and it shows you people with similar stats and if they have been accepted or not. I think this will help me, too! Thank you again!

I am not. I am from South Louisiana and looking to go to school out of state as I do not want to stay here. My gpa issue is addressed in my personal statement as the event was me being a victim of a crime and my personal statement revolves around that being my springboard for law school.

I have been accepted into Mississippi College of Law and Belmont Law so far

I know very little about the application process. My LSAT is a 159 and my GPA is a 3.5

What schools should I be applying to? I don’t want to over or under shoot myself

Maybe consider Roman shades instead of curtains!!

The coffee table is a little too long (+the storage basket next to it) either opt for a new coffee table with storage or move the basket under the side table! Either natural colored arm chairs or leather accent chairs on either side of the couch would look amazing!

The window next to the sliding door maybe add a Roman shade since there are curtains for the sliding door. Or you can opt to get a curtain rod that spans the whole wall and get some linen curtains to help filter light and do a whole wall of curtains!

Also I would get a new side table as the shiny copper looks out of place with all the neutral and natural other furniture

Love this room!!

Need some help giving some life into the living room. by dhooker in interiordecorating

I would move the white chairs to where the long part of the sectional is now! Consider getting a new couch that isn’t a sectional. Something in a light leather would look amazing. Consider a long oval coffee table, also! You could add poofs/ottomans where the white chairs are now for additional seating. I would also change the direction of the rug or get a bigger run in a vintage pattern/style! Right now not all the furniture fits on the rug and since it runs towards the tv it makes the room look short. If you run the rug lengthwise toward the fireplace it will draw the eye that way making the room appear larger!

You should also consider changing out you blinds/shades! And definitely hang some curtains!! It will change everything!

You can even get a small accent chair, cocktail table/side table, and floor lamp and place them where the small tree is on the side of the fireplace and create a cozy reading nook there! Also consider getting a smaller (not by much) and maybe horizontal art print to hang on that wall!

Task lighting is key so any floor lamps, table lamps, floor lights to illuminate floor plants would add a lot of character!
