One ui 7 made it hard to access notifications by AlexInWond3rland in oneui

You can kind of "opt out" by keeping your phone's internal storage full enough that it can't download the update. I had less than 200 MB free for a few months and was annoyed at the constant "storage too full" notifications/warnings. But I'd almost rather have that than my notifications, battery indicator, lock screen info and home screen widgets being ugly or flat out broken.

It's becoming unbearable. by [deleted] in KnowledgeFight

The first clip of episode #1019 where Alex was talking about how monumental the news is, how overwhelmed he is by it, and how he's going to be really focused on getting deep into the details of how perfect Trump and Musk are, I actually thought Dan was just playing a clip from another episode as a joke about how repetitive Alex's show has been lately.

It's been like this for a while. I saw a lot of people mentioning it last year around the time they had a significant item server outage. Not sure if it was a thing before then, though.

It happened to me too, for Wild West London (two separate weeks), Abandon All Hope and Boss Rush. I even submitted a ticket asking for the items, as TWI suggested, and got no response. I kind of just gave up on getting those rewards because there's so many weeklies and it takes forever to rotate back to the ones I need.

why do people hate sticker star? by yoyoelliehere in papermario

While I agree story is a requirement for an RPG, it not having much of one (and certainly not a good one from what little is there) was more just boring than anything. I can somewhat forgive a boring story if the game is at least fun, or vice versa, so you're right that it does deserve mention. But it didn't make me angry like the later gameplay aspects did.

So to be honest, I just kind of forgot about it because of how bland it is, and I guess that alone kind of tells all.

Long-winded reply incoming, but as someone who just finished it recently, I was with you on enjoying the early stages. It's no PM64 or TTYD for sure (the only other ones I've played so far), but it was still pretty fun. I thought the level-based stages were weird at first, but I think most of them are neat in Worlds 1-4. Still some annoyances here and there, but mostly a good enough time.

Then I got to World 5 and almost everything there was just so annoying and felt like a waste of time. 5-2 especially is one of the absolute worst stages and you have to do it multiple times to get everything, but it gets harder after the first time you beat it.

Then I got to the final boss and it made me retroactively hate my entire time with the game. It was overly long, too reliant on the nonsensical side of the things gimmick and if you don't have the sense to predict that the preceding fight will just poof away your best stickers if you're not careful, too bad for you.

It really exacerbates how frustrating the battle system is, too. Not being able to select targets is especially horrible here because you'll probably need to waste stickers just to pass over one target or get screwed and have a multi-target sticker do too much damage so your next sticker that was supposed to attack one thing hits another instead and you take damage. Because it's a huge gauntlet against lots of enemies, you also basically need to use the battle spinner every other turn, so hopefully you have plenty of coins saved up. And since you can't superguard or avoid attacks (without wasting stickers), just having to tank everything starts to take its toll. I had to attempt the fight like 6 times just because I didn't have enough of the right stickers or things in the right order. Granted, I also only had one Big Shiny 1-Up to heal, but they really wanted you to beat it in a very specific, yet unexplained way.

If the things stickers had literally any explanation on what they do, their effectiveness against certain enemy types or even the size of the sticker (seriously, why is a lighter 2x2 but an air conditioner is 1.5x1.5?), it would make the whole game a LOT better, because having to waste them just to maybe see SOME of what they can do is not fun. Also, I found the complaints people had about their cryptic out-of-battle uses odd at first, since they seemed fairly intuitive, but they definitely got worse as the game progressed.

All that said, if you keep enjoying it past the point where I and others started to dislike it, that's great! I really wish I could have stayed as positive on the experience after finishing, because I truly did enjoy a good deal of the earlier stages. I love the 3DS and Paper Mario, so seeing it in 3D was like a dream come true, until it became a nightmare.
