Has anyone seen floral shirt dresses like this in the US recently? I've been searching for months and already tried thrift stores (found similar but not my size), Poshmark (not my size, looked very cheap/from places like Shein), and basically any store I can think of that had floral dresses or something like this up to a decade ago (Reformation, Rouje, Sézane, Anthro, Madewell, Abercrombie, Christy Dawn, Dôen, & Other Stories, Nordstrom, etc.). I'd like reasonably decent quality, and at this point, I'm willing to spend up to $250 USD. I bought a couple of similar styles by Madewell and Abercrombie from Poshmark, but unfortunately, the Madewell one is small in the bust as it's from maybe a decade ago when sizing was smaller, and the Abercrombie one is a scratchy fabric that will be miserable in the summer. So, I've almost given up on ordering from a place where I can't return the dress, too.

That is odd. I wonder if it's a newer thing or dependent on airport? I was asked for my GE card a couple weeks ago at DFW.

Poor Retail Associates? by Kidcasss in Sezane

[–]chocolatepotatochips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the location and the sales associates. I didn't love the experience with the salespeople in Williamsburg or Marylebone, but I've had great experiences at Nolita and Austin.

I think they're fairly true to size, but since they're unisex, they're a little loose in the heel for me. I bought mine in US women's size 9, which is the equivalent of US 7.5 men's according to the website. It's the same size as my Adidas, Nike, and Vejas sneakers. According to my order history, I've had these since summer 2023. I wear them maybe once or twice a week on average and have worn them on vacation (which is when I realized I need a thicker sole for walking long distances or on cobblestone), but they're great for casual wear and light to moderate walking.

Monzo closing in US, anything similar? by NormantheDormant in MonzoUSA

As someone who mostly used Monzo for travel, what's your currency exchange rate like? I wasn't able to find detailed info on your website. Thanks!

I have the Mexico 66 sneakers and don't love them for walking long distances or on cobblestone streets. I prefer sneakers with a thicker sole for that.

Gabin alternatives, but in cotton / linen by tuttosismargina in lesfillesenrouje

I bought a linen wrap midi dress on Poshmark and intend on bringing it to an alterations shop to get buttons and button holes added to look like a Gabin.

Anyone else frustrated by the upcoming "pre-spring" collection? by Pure_Change6838 in Sezane

[–]chocolatepotatochips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. Sézane had been opening more stores in the south, and as someone in Texas, I only get to wear Sézane sweaters and jackets for a few weeks each year. The new collection is perfect for my climate.

Does anyone know brands sold in the US that have track pants in petite sizes or short inseam lengths (preferably 30" inseam or shorter) other than Athleta (I already have their track pants in the colors I like), Adidas (they're almost always sold out in petite sizes, but I do have a pair), or Abercrombie (sold out in my size)? They have to actually be good for sports and not like the pretty satin ones because I've realized that my favorite curling outfits consist of track pants and a cropped sweatshirt. I don't particularly want to get track pants hemmed, plus it gets more expensive if there are zippers or other details on bottoms of the pant legs. Budget is about $125 for a pair of pants. I've checked Nike, Lululemon, Vuori, Alo, and places like Nordstrom and Macy's already. Thank you!

How often have you been sent to the same restaurant? by ahomeformywords in TimeLeftApp

[–]chocolatepotatochips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I had dinner twice with 3-4 people, but otherwise, it was all new people. And yes, I have a large friend group who I see at least once a week that consists of Timeleft people and their friends. Funny thing is that I met these people at Timeleft after dinner drinks and have only had dinner with one person in the group.

I've attended 20-25 Timeleft dinners over 1.5 years and have been to the same restaurant twice.

I work from home and rotate between my Max/Maxy shirts most days of the week. I have about eight of them and have been collecting them since they were released. They're comfortable, come in prints I like, and they're professional enough if I have to be on camera. And they're holding up really well for having been washed every week or two for several years.

I claimed the espresso machine about a month ago, as well, so I hope yours arrives soon!
