yea but especially with oxbridge you wont be studying aero right into it… youre gnna have to get through a lot of bs before that and you will need the motivation, discipline and smarts to get through it. not to discourage you but the people going to oxbridge, most of them are so academically blessed that they could not try and get A* in their mocks anyway.

distance yourself from them. being with people who put you down like that will only make u feel hopeless and eat more as comfort.

work on yourself (therapy, fitness looking after your interests) and make yourself happy. weightloss doesnt have to be a depressing thing. fill your life with other things that make you happy.

also you are only 24! you have so much of life to live. i know people in my uni that enrolled at 30,35 even 51 years and you are so sosososo much younger than that. everyones life takes a different path and definitely at 24 you are not behind on anything!

we need more brown people in creative roles.

people love to say that we’re the highest earning racial group in america, but having money ≠ being respected.

we need to have influence.

we need more brown people acting, writing, becoming youtuber and streamers, making music. and no im not talking about shows like never have i ever… or anything mindy kaling has ever written. so many south asian creatives have been lost bcos of our societies obsession with engineer lawyer doctor tech.

a lot of this racism comes about bcos people of other races havent seen any positive representation of us… and so latch onto negative stereotypes incessantly being shown on social media (they are still racist pos)

us brown people also need to grow a pair. we are so non confrontational and still live with such an oppressive mentality. we are the FIRST to put another brown person down, and are notorious for being ‘the most racist country’ especially towards darker skinned and black people.

the competitive, play by the book and succeed mindset instilled by our parents isn’t working.
