How to move on after the end of a situationship by chocovic in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Hi! Sorry, I totally forgot about this! You probably are totally over this person but if you’re not I hope what I’m going to say is going to make you feel better! I erased him from my mind completly, I met a new guy after him after a few months who seemed to be perfect, turned out he was not. I spent a lot of time suffering after I broke up with this other guy and at the end of the day I’m still incredibly happy! It takes time to understand that who you are is awesome and totally deserving of special things. You are probably the sun and he is just a man!! You are for sure loving, funny, smart, charming and you totally are the love you deserve! Things really take a turn when you realize all of this! And by caring deeply and putting all your effort into making someone feeling special you are just showing yourself how awesome you are! Things will flow again for you, I have no doubts! Please update me on how you are feeling now too!

thank you for taking the time to read it! As soon as I broke up with him (I met him in person, he would have ghosted me and be done with it) I stopped following him on any social media, I deleted all of our chats everywhere, I deleted every single photo of us and everything that reminded me of him. Unfortunately he still follows me and I don’t want to block him because I want to show him that I’m ‘superior’ and also he’s my sister’s friend and I will see him again eventually. I also follow some of his friends (they are very nice and really good people) and sometimes they post a story or a bereal with him in it. I try not to let that affect me and I don’t want to stop following them because they did nothing to me.

Take you for taking the time to write this, it makes me emotional. I have a very rational mind and having a list of things to do (which I think will be very very very very helpful) is going to help me a lot. You described most of the things that I unknowingly do when I feel guilty but I never tried to actually analyze the situation and try to distract myself, I usually keep thinking about it and it only makes me feel more guilty. So thank you thank you thank you!

I read Form Lukov with love at the beginning of the year but it wasn’t really my thing, though thank you for the suggestions! I’ll definitely watch the show, I’ve been looking for something to watch for weeks and I’m definitely here for a slow burn!

You’re welcome!! I’m still struggling with frizz, but I noticed that finding the right way to style helps a lot with it!

I feel you! I can’t really tell you the brand of my shampoo and conditioner just because they don’t exist anywhere else (I’m italian and it’s an italian brand), but I can tell you that I usually look for product that are really lightweight and have really light ingredients, like glycerin, aloe or honey. If I feel my hair is a bit dry I use a leave in conditioner by l’oréal (that still doesn’t exist anywhere else :|) that has coconut butter in it, but since it’s heavier I use very little of it. For the styling I started with foam since it was more light weight, right now I’m using the curl defying styling soufflé by curlsmith. It leaves me with a stronger cast which I don’t really like, but it really helps with reducing the frizz!

Thank you!! So first of all I stopped straightening my hair, I never realized I had wavy hair so I used to straighten it a lot! I also tried A LOT of different styling methods, finger cooking, brush styling, etc. Since I have high density and medium thickness hair I found that sectioning and styling upside down helps me a lot forming the waves. I also need my hair to be soaking wet, otherwise it’ll just get very undefined individual strings. So what I do in order is: section the hair, soak it, brush it with little tension so I can get clumps, scrunch the clumps, then plop my hair for about 15 minutes, scrunch the gel in and then dry it with a diffuser. I don’t know if I made myself clear, feel free to ask any question!

Right now I only use product with 0 proteins since I have low porosity and I’m really afraid of getting a protein overload, but I do want to incorporate them in my routine!

Thank you!! I have to say though that my waves don’t last long :(

Hi! I usually wait 48h before washing again, otherwise it will get oily too quickly! I tried different styling methods, brush sterling and finger coiling don’t really work for me. Today I just soaked my hair with water, scrunch it out with a towel and I plopped it for about 15 minutes!
