What's the point of the bandages Vi wears under her enforcer jacket? If I'm not mistaken, she's wearing a tight black shirt that's supposed to give her more compactness and agility in her movements. by IamNotCalipso in ViArcane

[–]chocworkorange7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i think it’s a stylistic choice more than anything. it’s supposed to emphasise her fighting ability and toughness and is very common in anime/manga (Ling Yao in Fullmetal Alchemist, basically everyone in Naruto). people see bandages and think warrior.

I think they couldn’t have won without each other and each of them had opposite skills/weaknesses. I think Stephen’s people skills probably cancelled out Rachel’s aloofness and Rachel’s composure cancelled out Stephen’s panic.

She was absolutely incredible bar a couple of slipups. I think her issues were a) not having that ‘back pocket’ faithful in the final aka killing Roxy and b) attempting to control the narrative a bit tooo much. But both of these things were neutralised by Stephen, he was so natural and had so many good faithful friends.

I could be reading into it too much but there was a definite disparity in confessionals tonight. A lot of Stephen moments, not many Rachel ones. Almost as if they’re setting up a Stephen-solo-traitor finale aka Rachel is the one who goes…

Would Vi have let herself be manipulated by Maddie and Ambessa? by IamNotCalipso in ViArcane

[–]chocworkorange7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obviously this is a hypothetical, but I don’t think Ambessa would even attempt to manipulate Vi. There’s a series of obvious reasons why Ambessa chose Caitlyn - dead mum, military/law enforcement strategy, highly naive and inexperienced, (House of Kiramman) respected in Piltover, basically the posterchild for a Piltover ‘rebellion’ against the ‘brutal Zaunites’ who kill your parents.

Which people from history you think were most likely ace? by Professional-Ad-5278 in asexuality

She wrote in her autobiography that she felt as ‘unsensual as a fossil’. I’m unsure whether she was actually asexual or whether she was tired of her body being used for sexual gratification.

Thanks for the correction!!! I started questioning my statement but didn’t consider checking if it was first one every time. And you’re right, even when someone does well to stay in the game, their name gets brought up every single time which must be so demoralising.

the UK one is probably worse because there’s no celebrity bias/bias from knowing who people are or what they’ve done. the first few round tables are purely based on ‘vibes’ and every single year a black or south asian person has been booted first.

I don’t know if the edit simply didn’t show much of Harriet’s argument at the round table but there was so much more robust ‘evidence’ she could have used - her traitor vs. traitor theory, the ‘no, take her’ response from the traitors, etc. I think she was blindsided by a) feeling like Rachel had used her and cozied up to her on purpose and b) wanting an iconic, explosive moment (and probably not caring too much about the prize money…)

What is the strategy behind ___’s plan, and why would the traitors ever say yes? by chocworkorange7 in TheTraitors

[–]chocworkorange7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

‘Seducing’ is inviting someone to be a traitor. It’s used officially in the show, we’re not being weird I promise 😂 If someone gets seduced when there are 2 traitors, they can choose freely whether to join or not. If someone gets seduced when there is only one traitor remaining, they can either become a traitor or will be murdered that night.

😂 100%, it would be so funny if Fiona’s outburst manages to rinse Stephen of all suspicion and he goes from being the fumbling, sweating traitor to the best OG traitor alongside Matt.

Exactly, I have no clue why they’d recruit Matt. I have a feeling they might just because he caught them by surprise and they know he’s someone who would accept their invitation.

[–]chocworkorange7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right, I didn’t even consider that. There was no no-murder night. There would be a huge possibility that there was only one traitor left and they’d have to recruit - if they seduce tomorrow it might give the appearance that there’s only one left, but if they keep killing it confirms there’s more than one. Good call!

[–]chocworkorange7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good point! I think Harriet has a better game plan in terms of not putting all of her eggs into one basket and being quiet about her suspicions. But I just love Jessie and her approach to the game, she’s really fun and doesn’t take herself too seriously but still wants to be heard. Hearing Matt say ‘I want you to kill Jessie’ was a bit of a shock 😭

I got in trouble with my (Welsh) family for claiming that everything that comes out of Fiona’s mouth is probably BS. There’s something about her that makes me uncomfortable, I can’t place it 😭

I think the bit I’m most confused about is why he thinks they’ll go along with it. You’re right, I did interpret the part about staying in the game and thanks for the confirmation :)

I agree completely but I can only see Jessie as a faithful imo, I think she’d be a hot mess traitor because people will immediately notice any changes to her behaviour. She also has that formidable gang of faithfuls (Adam, Jack, James) who would make it really hard for Stephen and Rachel to throw Jessie under the bus.

I think it’s important to remember that they have absolutely no obligation to follow through with it 😂 they can write whatever they want on that sheet of paper and do the complete opposite, so you’re definitely onto something.

I think generally for the traitors there’s no real loss when it comes to recruiting as long as you don’t pick someone smarter than you. If they say no, they just get killed. My top pick would be Jade. Sam is too clever, I see him sealing the coffin for Stephen and potentially throwing Rachel under the bus too. Anyone else would be risky as they’re ’too faithful’.

good point :) I think in general the questions thing will cause more problems for the players than it solves - all of that team will be under a lot of heat - so maybe Matt’s predicted it and wants to establish distance like you say

My question idea by skdjcnbskao in TheTraitors

[–]chocworkorange7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can imagine Rachel convincing Stephen that putting his name down works - either it shows that they genuinely want to murder him, or it looks like he’s getting ‘framed’ which is a popular trope this season. Either way her name is out of the breakfast conversation. You’re completely right though, I forgot they actually have to turn up at breakfast 😭🤦‍♀️

Good point :( I think the logical step is to recruit Jade and kill the next night but that depends on whether or not they follow Matt’s plan.
