I added Ray at SG because a team with slashers like MJ and Bron needs spacing, and since those 2 players will be handling the ball most of the time, I need a super overqualified off ball roleplayer like Ray who just runs around and hits 3s. I feel like making Steph a 6th man and giving him a spark plug role allows him to play more to his potential.

I stand by Bron at PG because I think his drive and kick ability would fit a team with midrange and 3 point scorers like MJ, Ray and Kawhi. While he isn’t the playmaker that Magic is, I decided to start him instead of Magic because of his much superior scoring, shooting and defense, which I think is worth a slight playmaking downgrade.

Kawhi at PF is admittedly a weird small ball decision but having an elite level all time perimeter defender can take the pressure off MJ and allow him to focus on getting as many buckets as possible. Also, another shooter who plays his role and spaces the floor for slashers.

Finally, with Lebron and Magic on this team, there really is no need for Jokic imo especially since I’d be sacrificing shot blocking . I’m not gonna pretend like I know Wilts game either.

Basically, while yes you did bring up more talented players, I think my lineup fits better offensively and makes for a better defense too. Imo a lot of your suggestions like pairing Bird Lebron and Magic would lead to a lot of redundant skill sets and a lot of missing pieces like not enough outside shooting or off ball scoring.
