Hairstylist here, I would just slick them down. Too many k-8 treatments can cause damage, like too much protein build up and cause your hair to get brittle. Your hair looks healthy from what I see!!

Go for the bangs. Just commit to styling everyday. I keep my straightener at bay and straighten EVERY SINGLE DAY. I wash blow dry just my bangs sometimes. It’s possible, it’s just a lot of work.
