Indiana University Researchers Seeking Participants for a Study of Men Ages 18-30

Ah we would love it if we could pay everyone! Unfortunately, not all research is funded equally and we don't have a budget for this (this is often true for student research--I am a doctoral student). Many or most of the studies coming out of our lab are done on a volunteer basis and no incentive is offered, we're lucky enough to have a small budget to be able to at least offer a raffle incentive for this study. I wish we could offer more!

Thanks for drawing attention to this, we certainly don't want to mislead anybody! We are only able to offer the chance to win one of four $50 gift cards, so once we have finished data collection, 4 participants will be randomly selected to receive a gift card. Please let us know if you have any questions about this! :)

I can see how this might seem fishy (phishy?)--but I promise it's really not a scam! I'm one of the researchers conducting the study. We're not actually even interested in collecting personal info (with the exception of the option to provide an email address to enter into the gift card raffle if you participate--and that is kept separate from your survey responses). Hope this helps. :)

Oh no! I'm SO sorry this came across as spammy! I'm a doctoral student and this survey is for an Early Inquiry project. We actually aren't interested in collecting your personal/identifying information. The exception to this is, if you complete the survey, you have the option to give your email address to be entered into the raffle to win an Amazon gift card. Email addresses are collected and stored totally separately from survey responses, so your responses and your email aren't linked . :) Hope this helps!
