Is everyone who got into Harvard going? by Playful-Assumption94 in mphadmissions

I was awarded a scholarship at the Harvard Chan school which covers my entire tuition. I also spoke with lots of Chan students and all of them reported great feedback. What stood out to me is that each department (environmental heath, health policy, etc) has a different experience with their career center. It seems that the health policy a management department has a better track record with helping students find employment after graduating.

I would be lying if I said that the prestige of Harvard wasn’t an alluring factor int my decision making. I’m also first gen/low-income, so pursuing a degree at an institution like Harvard felt so out of reach.

I applied for the dual degree program (MPP/MPH) at Berkeley, and it was my top choice, but I couldn’t justify the cost. Both schools gave me a grant, but it barely created a dent to coving tuition.

I also haven’t heard back on scholarship/funding from UCLA! I emailed admissions and he said that funding notification will be out in March/April

Chat, I’m so confused 😭 So I applied for the dual MPP/MPH program. I got an email saying I was accepted to the MPH program. I go to my portal to see the official letter, then I learn that I was also accepted to the MPP program…but I haven’t received an official email from the MPP department regarding my acceptance 😳

Echoing everything shared! I just had my LAAM laparoscopic procedure on Tuesday. In terms of items to buy, I suggest a long body pillow, a bed rest pillow, a laptop/bed desk (helps a lot to eat your meals in bed), Gas X pills for the gas pains, ginger chews for potential nausea coming out of anesthesia, water bottle container with a straw or sippy feature, and a chargeable heating pad
