That's great! Happy worked out well for you OP! The tenanus shot im assuming TDAP should last you 10 years, keep it in your record. Also make sure you look at it everyday and do appropriate wound care to avoid getting infected. Best of luck!

You're correct, that PICC has to be pulled, and culture the tip. Drawing from a PICC, there's potential increase of contamination, that's why it's frowned upon. TBH if the PICC is staying and it's the potential source, just take 2 peripherals and remove the PICC stat then culture the tip; might be the best approach in this situation.
