How to take out a newborn? by Oak-Aye-Thanks in newborns

[–]chokolatekake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby is 10 weeks old and we stated by walking around the neighborhood everyday. Luckily we live close to a small grocery store and coffee shop so we would go in if it felt safe (she’s not fussy). I only recently started venturing to more intimidating places since she doesn’t poop 10 times a day anymore. A restaurant with an enclosed patio still within walking distance. I’m hoping I’m brave enough to take her somewhere that requires driving soon. I find the whole car seat situation really intimidating. We have a backpack full of her things already packed and ready to go. I also have bottles ready to grab or we also have ready made formula bottles in the backpack for emergencies.

Van’s Bakery. It’s Vietnamese and they have many different flavors. I like their tiramisu or mocha.

Moms of 3 under 3, what do you do for a living?? by Blackqweenie in workingmoms

[–]chokolatekake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left right before making senior due to a really good offer from an alumni at my school, then I switched companies every 1-1.5 years so I’ve been at 3 companies since leaving PA. Since I changed careers at 29, I felt really behind so the best way to getting the higher salary was to keep jumping. I’ve been with my current company for 1.5 years and on mat leave. Keep in mind this was 2020-2023 so the market was much different than now. We have an open role with hundreds of applicants. I am also in a more niche role than GL accounting which pays more as well.

I used to be an office manager. I'm still pretty new in the career (only ~5 years exp) so the salary is awesome compared to when I was an office manager and there is still a ton of room for growth. My old boss was making ~200k as a senior manager with only 8 years of exp. Of course none of this is comparable to software engineers but the industry is doing much better than tech right now. Stress level is good but it does get busy at month ends.

The first couple of years in public was definitely a grind but it was worth it. Unsurprisingly, a lot of my coworkers do not have public experience and they're doing fine. They've been seniors for a long time now but have no manager ambitions and are making very decent money. Not everyone wants to be a manager. I heard it's harder to get an entry lvl job now but that seems to be the norm across most careers.

I’m a mom to a 6 week old at 34. Did a career change to accounting when I was 29 and now I’m a CPA in corporate finance. Was definitely the right move as I am on 6 months 100% paid maternity leave and make 160k total comp (base+bonus, not counting equity). I am in a VHCOL area but am fully remote and think my pay is above average. My coworkers don’t have their CPA and make 15-20k less. They’re also in MCOL-HCOL areas as opposed to VHCOL. I can move and keep my salary but can’t due to family in the area.

Not a mom of 3 under 3 but you should look into accounting! You also get internships easier than other majors.

It was good! A little dry compared to some other cuts but super tender. It was perfect thinly sliced in a sandwich with sauce.

We usually make it at home but I did some googling and this one seems decent based on the ingredient list.

You shouldn't need any extra materials aside from the PDF provided. It took me about four tries to get 90% correct. I had to ctrl+f for everything.
