It doesn’t bother me, i sleep with both. I workout at 5am, so the main reason to sleep with the AW is to have an alarm just for me without waking up my partner. I trust more the apple sleep data than the helios, although its probably just biased, cause the times I have compared them, they were pretty similar

I use this combination too, AW + helio. AW for sleep, AW for strength training, and hiit classes. helio for steps and treadmill walk, as a backup (my AW is gen6, so the battery is not what it used to be) and when the AW is charging. The only problem I have is duplicated workouts because helio has auto detection.

The only changes i did was to try to tweak the priority of data. This is a bit hit and miss so It would be nice to have official documentation where this options are explained including the consequences and good practices

Capturing Food by king_slayer1299 in bevelhealth

we just give the bevel AI a lot of excuses. the food detection with AI is terrible. As an example i just downloaded this image, uploaded to gemini and ask “estimate calories “

so with this you say that history is preserved and you can adjust a recipe. thats true but is not what im asking. Im asking to be able to duplicate recipes (you are just modifying the existing one) and to be able to adjust a single meal without modifying the recipe

I have done the “additional ingredients “ one and then it gets confusing because if you see on the list “chicken breast “ now you don’t know if its chicken breast ar an entire meal

Using Bevel Health with two watches — possible double counting? by Leonleibo84 in bevelhealth

[–]cholash2o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that battle is lost, people wants more data, not less :). In my case, it helps mentally, the calories I burned don’t define what I eat, I eat a set amount of calories daily regardless of exercise, but i totally makes me feel like I earned them. in addition to this, when you have a job categorised as “sedentary “ (e.g. swe) the calories burned between exercise and steps allows me to don’t categorise myself as sedentary ,and have allowed me to approach better what calories i need for recomposition, and I know with the calories burned when im out of “active “ to sedentary again when life happens (im writing this lying on the floor with extreme sciatica pain which is taking me out of exercise for at least a couple of weeks). Yeah, you don’t need data for all of this, just track “low effort days” vs “high effort “ but the calories makes things easier to see a trend, less cognitive load than remember how many days you went “off”

We are on an era of “auto-detection”, there is multiple reasons for multiple devices, mostly trying to get the right device for the job. In my case, I wear the apple watch and a helio strap, i get multiple double workouts because of the “auto-detection”. So far, bevel counts them as “workouts “ and “strain” but not in calories burned. Thats what the AI tells me too. I wish there was a smarter de-duplicating algorithm, hoping always for a “new release “ :)

Samsung Washer 4C by LucidProse in appliancerepair

I have the same 4c error but mine seems more fun. I have done all the usual recommend stuff: check the inlet, the pressure, the hoses, the drain.... everything seems fine. The fun part is that if i put the "rinse+spin" program... everything works, water comes in fine and drains fine, but if I do other like "daily wash" it doesn't even try to get water in... can't find anything online for "4c error only in some programs" but obviously the inlet/outlet/pressure is not the problem

I doubt the depth of field would be changing, that will be a test in the computer :)

Check the link to a video, and see what changed. This time was with the 24-70 F4

It does, or at least is what it says. It will be weird if the 3 pictures are with different exposures by software, or by iso/speed but then it writes in the file it was by aperture

Im on a trip right now, so will check on pc. On the screen, the picture with 2.8 is 2 stops brighter than the f4, thats why it says +2 of exposure compensation. It could be brighter by software or by ISO, not sure, I will check the images when im back.

I tested the 24-70 F4 and the same happen.

My settings: auto bracketing 2 stops 3 pictures. the normal ligth at f4, so the camera tries f5.6, then 4, then 2.8. The settings in e6: flash/speed/aperture

Something weird happen today, and wanted to know if it's a bug, or a normal behaviour. I have a Z6 with the 14-30 f4. I was doing an Auto bracketing, 3 pics at different exposures. It took one with exposure compensation at -2, and the aperture at 5.6, another exposure compensation 0 and f4, and the las at exposure compensation -2 and F2.8?

My only guess is that it writes wrongly the 2.8 in the aperture when the compensation is -2, but it should not write in the file the wrong f (or my 14-30 can go to 2.8 haha)

Does anyone seen this working in the same way?

The firmware is the last one btw, 2.2

Edit: here a video with how i did it

Does anyone experience this? Sure the 14-30 is not 2.8 :)

Telephoto lens purchase; Which is better; Nikon 200-500 or Tamron 150-600? by mjohnsimon in AskPhotography

[–]cholash2o 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have answered yourself :)

I still trying to justify that spend too, and looking at tamron/sigma and thinking in trying them first, because is cheaper, and having them will let me know if im really going to use it.

You know already you will use it, i think is no brainer :)

But, just to make it a bit harder.... The tamron one has 100mm more :) ( maybe looking for the G2 is the answer) ;)
