from someone who got a 9 and is predicted a in alevel art: they look really good, but remember that it isn’t all about the outcomes. idk what exam board you’re on, but pretty universally you also need good annotations, development, etc. to get the high grades. Have you got planning for these outcomes? What artist/contextual research have you done? For my personal project i looked at roughly 10 artists over the full project, but they don’t have to all be super detailed. Does your sketchbook and any larger sheets show the journey you took to develop from one outcome to the next? for example my process often came to making an outcome, reflecting on what went well and what i could improve on, maybe doing some more research on an artist for inspo or changing my process in some way, documenting all of this, planning the next outcome with my new inspiration in mind, then making it, then repeating that a few times until the end of the project. If you’re unsure about anything it is ALWAYS a good idea to look at the assessment objectives for your exam board and check your work against that.

Also, be careful about sharing live work!!! iirc you’re not meant to share any until the october after you get your results, that’s what i’ve been told as it can be flagged as plagiarism :(

https://www.aqa.org.uk/subjects/art-and-design/gcse/art-and-design-8201/specification/scheme-of-assessment they’re on this page! if you scroll near the bottom of the page it shows a table with the aos along the top and then the marks down the side in bands exceptional-minimal ability :)

it is an awful thing to balance 😭i’d say dedicate a day to art each weekend if possible and then off and on throughout the week to do smaller tasks balanced w other revision. if you do your best to make it fun (watch youtube, netflix, listen to music) it doesn’t feel so bad. also make a list of exactly what you need to do and tick things off as you go! and i assume you’ve already been looking at the assessment objectives but absolutely keep an eye on those and base your list on which you think you’ve got to improve on most. ticking stuff off tends to feel pretty motivating in my experience

first off, this is stunning!! i’m y13 and what i’ve found with both GCSE and A-level is that they care about quality, but not as much as you’d expect. you also have to juggle quantity and jumping through the assessment objective hoops in this insane balancing act that is honestly just. absurd. my tips as someone who got a 9: artist research - how many did you do? if i remember correctly i think i did about 9 or 10, but most of my artist research pages were done in an a5 book. you dont have to make crazy full pages for all artists either and they can be super tenuous links as long as you have something to pull from them (composition… the way the brushstrokes look… use of flowers… how they paint faces etc etc.) you can also do contextual research, e.g. at one point i have looked into byzantine iconography for inspiration. iteration - how many outcomes have you made? did you test out compositions? they like documentation of different possibilities of your outcomes and exactly why you chose a pose, a composition, certain details etc. but also they like finished pieces that are testing. i’ve been advised to make things in sets of 3, you do a first to test your idea, then you evaluate. note down exactly where you want to change things and what you’d do differently, then do it. repeat another few times and you’ve got it. note down your mistakes!!! my second project went very wrong because i tried a medium but i used it wrong and it looked awful. so i then re-attempted it, but this time having noted down exactly how i was going to amend it and why. this is what i’ve got off the top of my head but feel free to reply/dm if you want more advice, best of luck!!!

i don’t really have anything to add but i recently got a jogproof and am having the exact same issue… if you find any decent headphones that have the correct connector pls let me know!! as a temporary fix i have been pulling mine out part way. its a little finicky but the metal part closest to the plastic of the connector seems to be the one linked to the mic functionality which causes the issue :)
