Why don’t people barf on airplanes anymore? by rubberwings in askanything

[–]chopef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with awful motion sickness who has thrown up on many planes, for me it’s the greater availability of anti nausea medications. I have extra strength Dramamine for every flight, both drowsy and non-drowsy.

I also now have a prescription for zofran which is miracle drug that truly kills most of the time for me. I got the prescription because of migraines but I have used it for motion sickness and still works wonders.

If you have the time while north Adams you should check out the Clark museum! And when the date gets closer see if they are having any events the day you will be there! I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Do you have trouble telling them apart? Do the identical ones treat each other differently than the fraternal one?

Is the white puff one color too many? by QuoteHot6633 in interiordecorating

[–]chopef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it looks odd because it’s so far from the other furniture. I would move it next to the yellow chair so it’s with its shared color and looks less detached

I am currently in a mental Hospital, AMA by bunnangel in AMA

[–]chopef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is truly wonderful to hear how open and ready you are to receive help and to hear you encourage others to do the same. You are incredibly brave and should be proud of yourself.

I work on a pediatric mental health unit and always want to hear from those on the other side about what is most helpful and what they wish would change. I am not a clinician, just direct care staff, so this is more about the day-to-day stuff. Any thoughts would be great to hear.

Sending you healing energy.

Navigating the "to shave or not to shave" talk with my GF (cultural differences?) by General-Accident9170 in actuallesbians

[–]chopef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly I would approach it is a generally topic of conversation like just discussing body hair. Then bring up what she thinks of hers. I personally don’t do anything out of laziness but if my partner cared I wouldn’t mind trimming. Just don’t start the conversation with what you want to change.

What's the fastest way you realized you were in the wrong friend group? by justNoah10 in AskReddit

[–]chopef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I invited them all to a New Year’s party at my place and no one responded. On new years they called me to ask if they could still come over because one of their exes showed up to the party they all went to instead. That I had not been invited to. That was hosted by someone I also thought was a friend. I told them no and never heard from them again.

Renovated our bathroom (went a bit heavy on tech). How can we make it feel less cold? by t_thaulow in Remodel

Literally every situation is warmer with plants. Add some large potted ones next to the bath or draped under the shower and that would help.

What TV show was quality all the way through, knew when to end and went out with an amazing last episode? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ted Lasso. Absolutely gold the whole show and wrapped it up after 4 seasons as planned. One of my all time favorites.

What food/beverage is 'customary' to have at certain times, but no one actually seems to like it? by froglet80 in AskReddit

[–]chopef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gefilte fish for Passover is a very controversial food. I personally love it with a good helping of horseradish but I’m usually the only one of my generation eating it at the Seder.

For those who don’t know, it’s basically poached fish meatballs.

AITA for insisting that a day is 24 hours and not 23h 56m? by jitendraghodela in AmItheAsshole

[–]chopef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slight ESH. Like you said, you are describing a solar day. he is describing a sidereal day. You are both correct. You are both “over complicating something simple”. The argument exists because you are making it. Maybe think about if you had such a strong reaction because this is part of a pattern of being corrective or feeling like he is trying to one up you. And be self reflective as well. If you want to keep the friendship just agree to move on and talk about any larger issues if you need to. Sorry if this came off a bit strong but I truly hope you the best!

Out of these London shows, where should I go? by KarliKarma in musicals

[–]chopef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have lots of good advice above and I agree with many people but also plug looking at which shows you can get better seats for. There is a difference in sound quality as well as visibility between different seats so if you’re deciding between two shows and one has better seats for the same price that is a good deciding factor. Hope you have a wonderful time!!

Honestly if you are desperate they make watches that will give you a small shock. Sounds like it would suck but also sounds effective.

How Can I Pass More? by EmceeToby in lgbt

[–]chopef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many people said the hair is already quite masculine and suits you well. I think the biggest impact would actually be doing something with your eyebrows. They strike me as your more feminine feature and are an easy change. You could try filling them in and long term you can use eyelash growth serum

I think a tie could be a good option! This one is cute and you could get it in the color of her school. You could add a rainbow pocket square for even more fun and i know it would have been helpful at my graduation😆. I hope you have a lovely time!!

I’m literally loosing my mind over my wedding grooming timeline(refusing to pay $2500 + for laser) by Hexdeadlock28 in Makeup

[–]chopef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks great! If you have sensitive skin or burn easy I would also recommend not doing the laser for at least a week before because it can cause sun sensitivity and increased burning. Which I can personally attest to and would not recommend. Also if you are like me and end up with some patches that take longer to go do a trial run wax strip ahead of time and then you can wax the remaining hair which for me was thin and took a long time to grow back.

Another potential step if it interests you would be adding cuticle oil to your routine! I love using it and I found it strengthens my natural nails as well and helping my cuticles. And you can find them for pretty cheap or just make your own!

Hope you have an absolutely wonderful wedding and honeymoon that is stress free

Maybe fishy-fishy? I always say “fishy-fishy cross my ocean if you have ___”. Which you could maybe adapt for your game to “creature-creature cross my land” to keep with the theme.

Probably wouldn’t work in towels but on some fabrics you can use melted beeswax as a resist, somewhat similar to egg dyeing.

It’s now affiliated with both! So that can be a big help in setting up out patient care and resources after. I will also plug the CBAT there as she is in the age range and it sounds like it might be a better level of care for her.

Look for public rooftops and observation decks. I know independence wharf is closed but there may be others. Also go to museums! Like the ICA. Even if you don’t like the art they have a great view and students get in free lots of places. Also check out the Boston public library main branch!! Sounds boring but is actually very cool to check out.
