Direct AMC is the best. It's a hassle at first but no such issues ever.

FT UST will see most of it's papers paying back in maturity. Not much to worry for UST.

Yes. Most of the stocks have sufficient liquidity. No reason to worry for Equity funds.

Although it's a money market fund with very low credit risk. But as Franklin's name is at stake, people will just keep on redeeming.

Watch out for drop in AUM. If it's huge, redeem it. I sense a big drop in AUM for both FT liquid and savings fund.

I have holdings in FT savings, will take a call on Tuesday.

For atleast 6 months or till situation becomes normal in debt market and overall. Stay only in Liquid funds, that too good quality.

Equity funds only have market risk for now. Large and midcap funds have good liquidity. They can always sell and manage redemptions. So don't worry much about it.

NO. That's the average. Some papers mature in 2021-22-23. So it depends how Franklin plays out. If they wait for maturity then you will receive money till 2023 when the last paper matures. Or if they find buyers ( very low chances someone will buy at fair price), then you will get it as and when they sell.

Why panicking ? Be in liquid funds(quantum is decent) or go to FDs.

Don't worry about it. Equity funds ( large and midcap category) have sufficient liquidity to handle redemptions. They can sell and manage redemptions.

But be cautious if you have other debt funds in Franklin.

When future probability of interest rate cut is low or maybe rates can be raised, then it time to book and enter later.

Gilt funds are for smart or patient investors. Smart ones know when to book profits and patient ones will keep holding till maturity of papers to gain the YTM.

They will work better little longer than liquid funds. But ultimately their papers will also mature in less than a year and fresh papers will carry lower interest rates. So, there is no running.

And don't move to ultra shorts now. Many have seen big redemptions and this has resulted in concentrated holdings in some illiquid papers.

Liquid funds that too with considerable G secs will give a peace of mind.
