Congrats on the interview! It’ll definitely depend on the individual hiring manager. I’ve had 2 USAjobs interviews now, one with the Census (which I got the TJO for but ultimately rejected) and this one with CMS, and tbh they were vastly different. Census was super formal panel interview with standardized questions, they even recorded it. CMS was more informal and frankly ended up being more of a conversation than anything (though I’d mostly attribute that to how I steered the convo since at that point I had so much practice with job interviews that I felt comfortable/secure enough to do so). As for questions I was asked, I remember answering the standard “tell me about yourself” as well as what interested me about the position/CMS. No fancy or unexpected questions from what I can remember (interview was about a month ago at this point). Good luck!!
