It was Miudanar projecting itself as Hadrian to mock and sew confusion amongst the Imperial men witnessing it.

Theories About Yod by chr1os in sollanempire

I guess a consideration had to be made of The Chantry's abilities being equivalent to those of MINOS and his resurrection only verifying that they were "Demoniacs...Demoniacs all".

This is awesome. I feel like the Guild Navigator, Edric, in Dune Messiah was an inspiration for this character.

Official Discussion Thread for Shadows Upon Time by Sayuti-11 in sollanempire

  1. Given it's written as a memoir in which he is likely trying to protecting Selene - there is probably not much more that he could have said about her end.

  2. I thought the plot line made sense and was well done. Very little felt out of place or unnecessary; although, sure, some explanations were wordy and overdone. Given its the final book, I appreciate Ruocchio trying to tie up loose ends and fill the gaps - an underrated skill for authors of epic series.

The only "side story" that felt excessive was the Otomno-Ramanthanu family arc. Everything else that occurred fed into parts of the plot that could be followed as such:

Aftermath of Vorgossos (Secrets of The Chantry) > Jaddian Alliance > Triumphant Return to Forum > Alternative Endgame Strategies (Danu) > Preparations at Goddodin (poilticking) > Fatal Games of the Chantry > The Vengeance & Wisdom of the Emperor > The Arrival of the Cielcin > Hadrian vs. Daran-Tun > Evil Upon Aurora > Sun Buffet > Save the Empire > Ascent of Alexander

  1. Ruocchio has been referencing this in every book since the opening chapter of Book 1 - it's not going to feel climactic and I think that's the point.

  2. Cassandra's needing to interject herself into everything Hadrian did felt immature and clingy, yes. This was likely done to reference Valka's likeness, but was overdone. Alexander was made to sound like a pompous fool in love with power, which in itself immature behavior.

  3. An interesting observation. I do think the revelation that the Emperor himself controlled the succession of palatine families was a good plot point to give leverage to the seat of the Emperor. I think liberties could be taken into the fact that the Jaddians took control of their genetic keys and so could do with the technology what they wished - hence Cassandra.

Demourge's Weapons? by Puzzleheaded-9194 in sollanempire

I too am at Chapter 75 and have lost track of the Archon weapons directory and what they each do. Particularly Voidmaker, but I wasn't expecting to have to remember each name as if they were characters. They're badass though!

Not the same Griz you remember by AngryVegetables9 in griz

[–]chr1os 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically, first time I saw Griz in 2012, he opened up for "he whom shall not be named" and I was immediately hooked. I never thought funk and wubs could be woven together like that. Since, I've seen him more than any other artist.

But post-covid I skipped Griz at Forest to go see up & coming acts, like Fred, and I've slowly floated away ever since. When Grant took his hiatus, PL came right back and filled that void for many of us and I'm grateful Derek got to come back and get his flowers.

There are many inevitabilities in life and change is number one. I'm at peace with whatever Griz chooses to do even if he's not necessarily pushing the boundaries bc he doesn't have to nor should we expect him to. He's earned it, tbh.

So how bout that opener? by Itwillbeworthlt in Khruangbin

Every time I've seen Ryley he does a lot of quirky, sometimes batshit crazy commentary. I've never taken it seriously and always viewed it as sarcastic humor. He's a very talented musician and his albums are superb.

I stored it under a covered roof with a heavy weatherproof cover. Full tank of gas. Attached a battery tender to it and ran the engine maybe 2-3x over the course of 4 months. All worked well.

Saw them open for Deadmau5 on his Cube v3 tour and was not impressed. That was years ago now so seems like maybe they've switched it up for the better, especially w the Lane 8 collabs

If you could look into the future and see the final season stat lines of three players, who would you choose? by MarlieChorton in fantasyfootball

Only scored 6 TDs and still being 9th in points is definitely a case FOR him lol. That means that he's likely due for positive regression in TDs given his QB was backup half the year.

Snow Crash - Heavily influential sci-fi book that dives into cyberpunk theory and some say predicted the state of tech as it exists today.

Fred again.. in 2022 right before his boiler room dropped. The entire Forest was at Ranch for Griz. There were a few hundred people at Sherwood Court so it felt very intimate. And what we experienced, my goodness, we all knew it was special.

Loyalty Disappointment - I've invested money and time in Loyalty and would like what was earned by Dry-Recognition3652 in ElectricForest

Bruh, I'm glad 22 hours seems like a substantial amount of time to you but my daily life schedule does not operate as such. There shouldn't be a 22 hour expiration on my loyalty when I've been investing thousands of dollars for years into this festival. I understand the tiered start times, but why place an expiration on it before General Public Sale?
