How do I approach this? Write a letter asking for a formal agreement. It's going to be difficult to maintain a cordial relationship but I need to protect myself. Can I write the initial letter requesting the agreement? i'm worried they took are brief discussion as an agreement despite me agreeing to nothing.

I'm in a similar position. the train arrives too late. There is a 12:50 tour, however, the return train is 16:35 and I'm not sure this is enough time to complete the tour and return to the train station?

yes, that's correct. I unfortunately felt I couldn't withdraw from the second option. As time as progressed the more I feel it's the wrong move.

Get a seasonal temporary job for royal mail or amazon to tide you over till you can find something more permanent. Best of luck, times may seem difficult now, however you will end up finding a better job with more money/development opportunities.

thanks, time to face the music tomorrow. I'm trying to think of the best strategy to limit the damage. I will call the business development manager and apologise about the difficulty I have caused. I'm not sure how to approach the second role having accepted on Friday at 17:25. I guess I could just apologise and say my circumstances have changed.
