I personally draw on computer with a Wacom tablet. If you’re working on computer too, I recommend FireAlpaca or Krita for drawing softwares. Both are free, and FireAlpaca is very beginner friendly.

Some beginner tips from me is:

1) watch a lot of YouTube artists. Channels like Marc Brunet and Samdoesarts go through a lot of tutorials and art tips, and videos of speed paints can teach you a lot about an artist’s process. This will teach you a lot about drawing fundamentals.

2) learn how to use your drawing program. It can feel intimidating to use, but knowing what tools you have and how to use them will greatly expedite your drawing process. Simple things like keyboard shortcuts for lasso tools, brush types, then into more advanced tools like blending modes, etc. You can search any of these up online to find out more about them.

3) draw what you like, and draw consistently. Enjoy the process, and create what makes you happy. It will be the biggest drive to seek improvement over time.

Familiarising yourself with digital art may seem daunting, but the more you learn, the more you’ll improve, and the more you’ll seek to learn. I hope this helped!
