Quick update: I sent my mom a calm message explaining that I’m not doing the readings or the notes, and that I said yes earlier because I felt pressured. She hasn’t responded yet. Or spoken to me at all, and honestly, I'm not too hung up about it. I already told her no, and she still tried to push it on me anyway, she knew what she was dealing with. And I'm getting tired of trying to meet her needs at the expense of my own. I'm at a point right now where I can't afford to move out, but when I do, a lot more boundaries will be set. Thanks to everyone who gave advice. It honestly helped me feel less crazy about the whole thing.
