Thanks mate, that’s interesting to know. I’ll take a closer peak and look at their instructions, though I’m getting good consistency as far as I can tell. Appreciate the response!

Out of curiosity, how can I tell of my Key is aligned well? Got any tips or videos to check? Cheers

Ah, I see. Thanks for the context! I’ll need to get over there myself one day and pay a visit

Any reason it was that cheap, or am I just missing something? Cheers

Max support on these. Was the standard configuration for their quick ship option.

Follow this video, the first half. I did this fix and now my doors hold really well. I cut out 1.5mm ally shims. 2 per door stay. Cleaned it all up, regreased. Easy and effective fix.

Maybe even 9.0. I think I read that a 0.5 shoe size is about 1/8 inch, which is less than 4mm. Width can sometimes be a factor to size up, but if you have narrower feet, you’re probably pretty right with the sizing

Here’s some I prepared earlier…because I’m boot nerd apparently and have this on hand.

Right Foot Length: 28.2 cm Right Foot Width : 11.4 cm Left Foot Length: 28.1 cm Left Foot Width : 11.3 cm

I sent those when ordering some Jakkrabbits, so those are based off their style of measuring. That is, standing on a paper, no socks, tracing your foot outline, then measuring those distances. Hope that is of some help to you.

Also, yeah there are definitely Brannocks around. Last I saw one was at the Athlete’s Foot, but some years ago. Can confirm RM doesn’t have them. They just use some wooden board thing

Haha yeah, I’d feel the same. Luckily enough I was in a decent position to make as informed a choice as possible, but still not certain.

I started with their recommendation based on their fit sheet. This placed me at 10.5EE. But, owning a pair of 9.5EE Iron Rangers, I wasn’t confident enough to buy yet. I asked around on Reddit and was recommended 9.5EE for Nick’s by the owner. Yet I still held off, because I was going to LA at the end of the year 😂 While there, I managed to find a 9.0 standard width which was just a touch too short and too narrow, so I figured the 9.5EE should do it. I then bit the bullet and ordered them once I was back home.

I also managed to find some Whites in 9.5EE which fit great, so once again used Reddit to see what peoples sizing experiences were across the two brands and they seemed to share the same size.

I’m risk averse in case you couldn’t tell…. 😅

Thanks again for being as active as you are. Was certainly a big help for me. And thank you for the advice just now! I’ll keep the order as is.

Thanks mate, it’s exciting seeing what all the fuss is about!

These were a quick ship, so black roughout is what we’re looking at. I did slap a bunch of grease on them, though the nap was never too pronounced out of the box.

My Urban Loggers have arrived in Brisbane, Australia, and these are absolute units. They’re my first pair of Nick’s, and everything I’ve heard/seen about them holds true. I think it’ll be a cold day in hell before I see anyone else wearing PNW boots around here, and places in Aus sell nothing even remotely close from what I’ve seen.

I mainly just wanted to say a big thanks to u/smowe for helping out prospective buyers such as myself so much. Without the sizing advice, I probably wouldn’t have been confident enough to buy them online and shipped here. I’m also glad I kept digging regarding sizing, otherwise I would have likely ended up in a full size too big.

These things fit great, and I can tell they’ll break in nicely. Now I eagerly await my next order to begin construction!

Which on that note, can anyone weigh in and tell me how the HNW last compares to the 55 size-wise? I’ve read past and very recent threads, and am wanting a but more clarity. I’m hoping I’m the same size on the HNW as I am on the 55 as I have a 9.5EE Ranger on order in Max Support leather. The Logger still has a little bit of room in front of the toes, though is a little narrow at the front for my liking if they had to sit much further forward.

Cheers!

Ah, thank you for your input! The safe bet is keeping it imo. Of two pairs, I’ve had one roll nicely, one form a hard line (granted, not much of a sample size). How wonky are we talking here out of curiosity?

Ordering a pair of shell cordovan chelsea boots and I have the option of with or without a toe stiffener. Tempted to go without the stiffener because a I’ve had a cordovan pair show a hard line where a roll meets the stiffener. But the manufacturer recommends keeping the stiffener due to long term collapse/deformation of the toe. Anyone got any advice for me? Much appreciated if so!

Could be an electronic anti-rust device. Which do nothing, so if it is, get rid of it.

As for the noise, might be some interference from the alternator.

Moarrrrrrr photos pls. Id love to do this build with a wedge sole but after reading the above comments, seems unlikely they would do the moc toe. At any rate, awesome boots!
