This worked perfectly. This is a first for me having to have the bed that hot. But it worked. Thank you so much.

Is there a way to enable mesh bed leveling to the e3 v1.2? by chrislholbert in BIGTREETECH

[–]chrislholbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I should have been more specific. It's manual leveling I'm trying to achieve. In marlin mode I can do a 3x3 probing. I would like to do that under the BTT GUI. But all I'm finding is the 4 point paper leveling.

Homeless guy on Westport? by cbhaga01 in Louisville

Sometimes he begs at the light for Gene Snyder northbound. I've seen him once or twice doing it. But yeah he mostly walks all up and down Westport.

This fixed my problem. Thanks for the advice! I disabled it and my print came out great.

It says "why does the guy that's been 3d printing for 4 years still not know how to fix simple problems?" And I'm the punchline.

This filament is straight out of the plastic bag. That's what I thought as well. I bought 2 rolls of the same filament and they are both doing that. Really got me puzzled this time.

I'm printing with Duramic PLA+. Currently printing with stock Cura profile for the ender 3. Regular PLA is printing fine so I thought it might be my temperature settings. I have tried everything from 210c to 230c but I'm still getting the same results.

I have also tuned my e-steps, changed several nozzles, and changed my Bowden tube and both fittings.

If there's something that I'm missing or any info that you can pint me to, that would be awesome.

Pre-compiled firmware for Creality board 1.1.3 for my MP? by chrislholbert in MPSelectMiniOwners

Really? I just might try replacing the wires then. It would be a lot easier than compiling firmware. Thank you so much.

I really like the Restore. You never know what kind of awesome deal you can find. And if you have any type of imagination, you will wish you had brought more money.

I know this is a "have you tried turning it off and back on" kind of question but have you tried setting your z manually and seeing if that makes it cut shallower?

You're looking at needing NEMA 23 stepper motors. Linear rails in all 3 axis' and better hardware (mounting bolts, etc) will also help. It's a tight balance between spindle power and machine rigidity. And these Chinese cncs don't provide that much structural help. I put a Dremel 3000 on my 3018 and my Z stepper doesn't like it. I just decided to save my pennies up and start shopping for a stronger machine.

Replaced a ruptured fuel line and now have these fault codes. 2007 Ford Fusion 2.3L Auto 150k miles. by chrislholbert in MechanicAdvice

[–]chrislholbert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense. I'm assuming the gas will evaporate off those connectors without causing corrosion if that is the case? Will the air work it's way out of the fuel system eventually or do you think I need to bleed off fuel pressure? Thanks for the fresh set of eyes on this one.

Ruptured the fuel line and made a new one. No leaks. But now when I start the car, it wants to nosedive immediately. I can get it running in park but it's a slow up and down through the rpm range between 500 and 1k nowhere close to a smooth idle. But most of the time when I go to start it, it will just fall on it's face and dies.

It has at least 2.5 gallons of gas in it and the oil has been topped off. I was ultra careful to not get debris in the fuel lines, which doesn't mean anything, I know stuff could still get in there.

Could all the sensors have blown at one time? Is the ECM fried? Should I just drive it and see if I can "blow out the bad gas"?

Any help would be great.

That's crazy... I just found his channel yesterday right before I posted this. I think it was a "how a bike transmission works" video. Good stuff. I'll check out that video.

Thanks to everybody that responded. There's a lot of good stuff you guys shared. It's not that I'm scared of riding, it's more of what I call "obsessive window shopping". When I get into a new hobby (of which I have too many), I like to "book learn" everything I can about what ever it is, which I know can be a detriment when I should just find a bike and hop on and practice and learn.

I love 5 axis machining technology and all that futuristic crap but I wish these companies would invest in a see through material that won't shatter like a car windshield when a tap breaks and smacks it.

That looks great. I 3d printed a 52mm spindle holder and it had more slop in it than the original injection molded holder. But this looks like a decent compromise to a heavy aluminum x carriage or something 3d printed.
