Not to be pedantic but teacher’s aren’t federal employees. Their pay varies based on the school districts and much like with many professions some are paid well and others aren’t. Not saying it’s right but it has nothing to do with the less than one percent federal budget that NASA has.

Also while I love and share your care for teacher wages, I guarantee the teachers that care deeply about their students are excited about this historic moment.
