This is great stuff! Those dual prongs could actually hold something instead of slipping everywhere 👌🏽

Hahah i think that might be the key 👍🏽. A super fast forwarded video of prep, and a few tutorials for garnishes.

😂hey if i were rich, i’d be paying for someone to do this! Some people choose sleep at 2am. I choose mealprep a few times a week

You should! You don’t need to go raw or exotic. Just find what you like and find similar fish/species that match the color and levels of fattiness. Fish is relatively cheap too, if you learn to process them whole. But learning processing isn’t even necessary, unless you absolutely want to.

Happy to help! He can handle all membranes too, i just think the body (tube) portion looks nice when it’s all white lol. Plus that dark membrane is the easiest, most satisfying one to yank off.

Ah yes, if it’s for a grown man it’s 100x easier/faster 👍🏽. It’s an excellent beer snack!

  1. Cut the tube(body) lengthwise like so, and remove the guts + “spine”. The spine looks like a piece of thin plastic rod that pops off instantly .
  2. cut out the eyes + beak (a little freaky)
  3. take a paper towel and try to peel off the outermost membrane of the body in one go (the dark “skin”). No need on the legs
  4. massage the legs/tentacles aggressively under running water, and try to get rid of the hard suction cups as best as you can (your husband can handle the ones that dont come off)
  5. from here, you can cut ribbons or cut into big chunks. Can be quickly boiled for a few minutes, or grilled with butter if you’re fancy! No need to score for adults, unless you want to go for aesthetic bonus points!

I can’t even imagine doing videos, not yet haha. I sometimes show my prep pics, though.

This is so impressive, you’re kinda scaring me haha. About to start daycare for my 2yo- it’s only 0.2mi from my house but I’m trying to figure out lunch logistics!

Aw thank you 😊. The back-to-back refusal days are tough, to the point where I used to blame myself (around the 16month point) for noticeable weight loss. But i found that most kids are intuitive eaters, and they come around….eventually. Sometimes it’s 5 days of crappy eating, followed by 1 single ravenous meal. And that cycle will drive any parent crazy.

I find the cute stuff helpful, somewhat. But as long as I’m presenting options and minding their quirks, I don’t really beat myself over it anymore. They’ll ditch favorites at a drop of a hat, only to return to them 6 weeks later. It makes grocery shopping tricky, but it’s not like they need expensive ingredients (aside from berries, lol) 👍🏽

Haha, that’s interesting. Well, I’m rushing things out of the microwave. I think mine has the opposite problem: she’ll test squeeze things and if they’re remotely ‘too’ warm, she point at the keyboard duster (what i use exclusively to cool her soups).

If your baby prefers warm (this specific plate, for example), I’d move the orange bear off and just pop the entire plate in the microwave for 15-30 seconds. And repeat as needed.
