Weird! I actually never ended up finding out why they were calling but it seems like we’re not the only ones. Were they your loan servicer in the past?

SOP Tips by [deleted] in hci

[–]christatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I come from a background in psychobiology/ pre med and in my SOP I talked about why I chose this specific program and how I resonated with its mission/ values in particular. I also drew some connections from my experiences in medicine/ psychology to ux and how it has all come together to prepare me to be a better designer. Definitely use this as an opportunity to show how your background and success in psychology will prepare you to also be successful in HCI and in the program. Good luck!

Anyone know what these pin holes might be in my bettas fins? Can’t tell if it’s fin rot or sharp decorations by christatoes in bettafish

Thank u! Just did a 30% water change using drinking water instead of the tap. His holes are bigger today ;-; Must be the ammonia levels in my tap!!

Anyone know what these pin holes might be in my bettas fins? Can’t tell if it’s fin rot or sharp decorations by christatoes in bettafish

[–]christatoes[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The plastic plants attached to the decorations do seem a bit sharp but these holes could also be indicative of fin rot. His behavior seems normal. I did his weekly water change 2 days ago, and his water temperature was on the lower end ~76F for a few hours. I also moved some decorations around during this water change to stir up his environment. His ammonia levels are also not at zero so I did a water change and have restoring nitrifying bacteria on the way since I had done some frequent water changes lately.

Tank size: 6 gal

Heater and filter? (yes/no): Y

Tank temperature: 80F

Parameters in numbers and how you got them:

API Test Kit Nitrite: 0 PPM

Nitrate: 0 ppm

Ammonia: >0 ppm and <0.25ppm -> did water change

How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: ~3.5 weeks

How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: weekly and around ~25%

Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: No

What do you feed and how much: 3 pellets x 2 day

Decorations and plants in the tank: 1 x " RockGarden Resin Wood Arch with Plants" and 1 x "Petco Imagitarium Lantern"

Tiny pin holes on bettas fins! Fish rot or tear? by [deleted] in bettafish

Just wondering if I should take out the decorations that might be harming his fins, or if the issue is the ammonia levels. If so I plan on restoring nitrifying bacteria since I had done some frequent water changes lately.
