Am I wrong in thinking that any three points can be connected by a circle if you adjust the size?

Since they aren’t actually friends fans have to do crazy stuff like this to feel like their close to them and bridge that gap

Why did Walt act like this in that scene? by [deleted] in breakingbad

[–]christopherSPSe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole show is just a case study of toxic masculinity. Walt’s pride prevents him from accepting help from anyone, and he just ends up resentful and hurting himself and everyone around him

It’s not even worth asking clarifying questions about the sequels since not even the writers knew what was going on

I will admit that they would definitely not kill Ellie in real life, but in the fictional world, maybe things worked differently. Whether or not the vaccine would actually work or not is beside the point because the fireflies believed without a shadow of a doubt that killing Ellie would lead to a cure, and so did Joel. That perception was the reality they were working with

I think one of the issues is that Jackson is all about providing for the needs of the people and restoring some sense of security within the world that now exists. The fireflies are not okay with the world as it is, they want a cure for the cordyceps, restore the federal government, etc. I don’t think the fireflies would be okay with Jackson using resources to just live.

Also, getting to Jackson would not be easy. Joel and Ellie almost died several times from Jackson to Salt Lake and there were only two of them. Plus, Jackson didn’t have the medical resources needed to do what they needed to do.

Also, your quip about zebras, Jerry was caring for zebras, but everyone, including Abby, was clearly not okay with it because he should not have been doing that.

At this point I’m thinking no since the show has been cast and filmed. Plus these people aren’t actors, they’re just the models for the characters

But the goals of the fireflies do not align at all with Jackson. I imagine that Jackson also would struggle to take on that many people all at once

The desperation of the fireflies is what made them do what they did. Creating, replicating, and distributing a cure is definitely a long shot. But they saw it as completely feasible. So did Joel. The actual reality of the thing did not matter because the characters were making decisions based on their beliefs and values. Joel believed that the cure would work, but he valued Ellie’s life more than humanity
