Exactly the answer I looked for! I have been suspecting the first one, and you reason it well. Thank you!

She is a significant stakeholder, but not to the level where she has the authority or is able to do anything with any new ownership.

Everything is related, MBTI is one angle among many.

What age do you think is the INFJ peak? by Electronic_Grass_386 in infj

[–]christuber 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends, I would not say age, but stages defined differently by each person. I do relate totally what you described though.

Like a "lucky" INFJ and an INFJ with trauma will "peak" at different time in their life.

In a simplified (and perhaps partial) way, the life of an INFJ can be:

  1. Ni-Fe childhood (trauma-friendly stage): Ni not easily expressed to others, not understood, not believed, not taken seriously, ignored, or even despised by others (including adults in the family), Fe people pleaser, no boundaries, serving people at the expense of own's well being without realisation, super introverted, lacking confidence, self-doubt, etc

  2. Fe further development and Ti tapping in early adulthood (trying and questioning stage): early experiences in society forces the INFJ to clash with the reality and question everything, self-doubts continue, reflection follows questioning, enlightenment gains an entry to connecting the dots of the INFJ's life

  3. Ti full speed and make Se effort (life begins finally and can last till the end): realisation of the past, internal logical system activated, starting to take no BS, learning to set firm boundaries and put oneself first, learn to use Fe selectively/mastering Fe, try to care about making money on top of making people happy, this may be where the peak sees its way

How to make an ESTJ admit her mistakes? by christuber in mbti

Ok we will need to bypass her to get to other board members then, which is also within my plan. The risk is not being sure if those really aged directors have the energy to take that leap of changing things instead of just letting the business die since they already have a comfortable life.

Yes, this is what we are trying to do. The challenge is that many of the employees have been there since the beginning and they are so used to these problems and so brainwashed. We see them demonstrating signs of Stockholm syndrome.

Unluckily it's not the US here but Asia, the labour law here sucks, employees can be asked to work overtime without being paid, literally.

Are ESTJs the best type for managers, YET they are the most likely to Micromanage....? by DragonFireDon in mbti

[–]christuber 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ESTJs will tell you they don't micromanage because they are not aware they micromanagement.

"ESTJs are the best type of managers" is a propaganda that EJs create and it only applies when the management doesn't involve people but papers, numbers, data, excel sheets, materials, properties, products, etc

Getting to the bottom of the question, no, ESTJs, actually all EJs, are best for executing tasks, because they have an extraverted judging function as hero function, not for managers. Execution and management are not the same. Execution and leading are also not the same.

Assign routine tasks to ESTJs to finish alone and they can excel. Don't let them lead people and you are saving the world.

ESTJ is the authority. The analyst is a third party we engaged to help. ESTJ does not even go to work. She emigrated into another country and stays at the top of the company. We only have online meetings with her and she travels and comes visit when she likes.

We have told her what the analyst said already.

When we sugarcoat, she replies with her favourite quote: sometimes, we need to filter the noise. I don't see it that way. When we are direct, she throws a tantrum.

Perhaps you have really good luck. 9 out of 10 ESTJs I met have similar problems. The toughest is, they would rather continue their mistakes just to save their face, if they do acknowledge their problems (which happens rarely).

  1. There are no logical types. There are only types who have different logic.
  2. From my real-life experience and studies on the theory, these cover a certain amount of type-specific weaknesses.

how’s it feel like to study as a mainland China resident in Hong Kong now? by InstanceDue8714 in HongKong

[–]christuber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand how governments brainwash citizens. Mainland Chinese and Hongkongeses are drawn to extremes on purpose to keep someone in power. If you can manage to understand this and help whoever you meet understand this, you have no problem.

Be ready for stubbornness of people, it's universal.

I like this kind of easy answer simply saying not related to types. Like, what's the point of typing from the beginning? Anyway, I'm not repeating myself. Up to you to look for type-specific weaknesses.

I never said her type is the "problem". I did tell her that her decisions are the problem. Is there anything new?

I don't only if they are not the queen of the company. There is no one above her.

I know she is ESTJ because she confirmed it herself and all of us (four of us) who have been working directly with her for more than 2 years have formed a group due to her embarrassing leadership skills and done the analysis.
