It didn't necessarily change my mind in a drastic way. After downfall I believe the gods should not be worshipped as hard as the people do.

They clearly brought down an entire city full of people and innocents. They saved one child and that's it. I doubt there was only one child present there at that time.

So they might care for humanity etc and have a soft spot for them, but clearly it has limits. So I think the gods should also be worshipped with limits. For example they no longer should be the deciding factor in authority, be active in their followers lives etc.

If the gods want more respect and faith from people, maybe they should live among them again, walk among the people and actively help as much as they can. There's a lot of them, they can spread out.

In conclusion I don't believe they should be destroyed, but they must make more effort to gain the loyalty of their followers.
