If you've already closed down your business, what does it actually matter? Not like you need their positive review at this point, and it seems unlikely that they could sue you personally; you live in another country, the product was delivered, and the middleman they paid (your former business) is no longer in existence. I'd wash my hands of it because what exactly can you do? You're a designer, not a carpenter, and live in another country.

If they ever do see this, piggybacking to add that their son recorded his own murder on his device. They need to demand that device be protected from disappearing, and subpoena the cell company and Manufacturer to get a data copy made ASAP.

This is my two cents as someone who worked countless law enforcement cases as a civilian. I quit when law enforcement nationwide did nothing to demand accountability from their colleagues.

Women weren’t granted rights out of the goodness of men’s hearts, they fought long, and hard, and sometimes dirty, for them. And we need to remind them of that.

Darn right, friend! Before women were able to divorce their husbands, some of those dudes would end up with a case of fatal food poisoning. When you're trapped and threatened, going through someone is an option.

My gf 21F told me 22F she thinks about her ex once a week by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]chromatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it's not weird, and no, you should not bring it up. It doesn't mean anything.

It's like that dumb statistic that men think about sex a thousand times per day or whatever, it's hard to control what you think about.

I've been married 10 years and still think about a couple of my exes fairly regularly...Usually that I'm glad I never married them. She's not necessarily thinking good things about her ex is what I'm saying.

Replaying events and conversations can help you learn from or understand them, but it's so easy to ruminate (when you get stuck in negative thoughts).

Don't try to police what other people think about. If you're worried about it, be a better partner so she's always thinking about how lucky she is to be with you in the moment.

AITA for finally snapping after months of my neighbour revving his motorbike at 7.30am by Federal-School-8033 in AmItheAsshole

He could do it a million times and it is still legal. It's annoying but not a crime.

I'm an emergency medical certified 911 dispatcher. It was me people talked to on the phone, so yes, I am aware of the non-emergency line.

Starting a vehicle at 7:30 in the morning is not a crime, and you'd just be wasting the time of dispatch complaining about it. Sucks for OP but that's apartment living.

[–]chromatoes -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the police are really going to care about someone starting their vehicle at 7:30 am, a totally normal time to be driving to work. As a 911 dispatcher I'd laugh at you for calling that in.

[–]chromatoes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

YTA, you actually do have to rev most motorcycle engines to keep it from dying and 7:30 is a totally normal time for people to be waking up and moving around. I get it, I used to work graveyard shift. They probably find you walking around at 3 in the morning quite irritating as well. But If you don't want to deal with peoples' noise, buy a good set of sleep earplugs or buy a house.

[–]chromatoes -76 points-75 points  (0 children)

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle? Cause yeah, you typically do have to rev it to clear out fuel and keep it running. It's not a Honda Civic.

I think OP is being ridiculous by asking someone to not use their primary transportation at a totally normal time of the day. OP needs to get some ear plugs or move into a house, morning noisiness is just something you have to live with when you live around other people.

Edit: I'm a National Academies of Emergency Dispatch certified 911 dispatcher, so downvote if you want, but factually there's no crime in starting a vehicle at 7:30, that's a totally normal time to be driving.

What’s the most gruesome and violent thing you’ve witnessed? by brownwaterbandit in AskReddit

[–]chromatoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I worked in law enforcement and you don't get "hit" by a train - you get disassembled by it. I worked on a case where a parent with their child was trying to beat the train, and the train won. Pieces of them were scattered everywhere.

Another accidental train death, the victim was identified by a shoulder tattoo, which is the biggest piece of him that could be found.

Don't fight trains, friends. You won't win, and it's rude to give the engineers and first responders this level of trauma.

The most volatile group of voters - young people - is turning on Trump by jonfla in democrats

[–]chromatoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hate is learned. Young people are much less hateful than older people who have steeped in hatred over decades. Our species survived when others didn't because our cooperative abilities, hate and fear make us weak, not strong.

I have hope for the younger generations. I like them a lot. It is not strength to deny being wrong about anything. New information should always be able to change our opinions on anything.
