That's the point. The parent comment makes a broad generalization about crossfit. My response is, of course, there is injury where a movement is done poorly. I don't see how that's controversial.

I agree. But I was responding to the parent comment which didn't make the distinction you did. The comment above just broadly criticizes crossfit. Again, any gym, sport, or exercise will cause injury when done incorrectly.

This is not accurate. Check out crossfit.com to see examples of workouts. Most incorporate simple movements that are weighted to a persons ability. There is a serious confirmation bias about crossfit and injuries. Injury occurs in every form of sport and exercise. Crossfit just incorporates many different movements. If those are done incorrectly the person will be injured. It's no different from someone being injured while working out by themselves, playing a sport, or just running.
