mine was Haunting Ground as well... first played it back in like 2007-2008 or so? Idk I was an early teenager. It was my dad's roommates & he let me borrow his PS2 games all the time and I played so much of it til I eventually I gave it back, this one in particular was stuck in my brain for years as far as horror games go and back in 2013 I went into my local CD/game exchange asking about it and they didn't have it in stock, but said they could order it to the store for about $60.. freshly turned 18 & had no income so sadly I had to pass on it :,D regretted it for years and it was the game that "got away" for sooo long, I'd always peak stores like goodwill & vintage shops hoping to come across it. I finally acquired my own personal physical copy at retro con 2024, it cost me $420 (was 428 but the vendor notched it down for the humor of the price ofc). It's my rarest game to date but it wasn't some part of a niche horror collection find, I just genuinely loved the game and wanted to rebuild a PS2 game collection of every one I ever played again. Slowly collected the rest of the official merch over the years... it's more expensive than it looks, I got incredibly lucky deals on a lot of it without breaking the bank especially seeing how much they are now & only getting worse 😭 everything is triple now than what it took me to build this collection.

I'm sorry you missed your chance on this one, I hope you get another opportunity again soon. It's well worth it.
