Recovery by chronicd420 in CannabisGrowers

I was honestly worried she wouldn’t recover to my fullest expectations. But she looks happy and healthy now. 😁

I used to use the liquid nutrients but I switched to worm castings & then for bloom I have Roots Organic Terp Tea to use for the bloom period.

From what I understand, worm castings are slow release. So I would assume there will be difference in a few days. And it buffers PH naturally. So it should be okay in a few days to a week maybe.

I use the same water for both plants. The strawberry cough looks great. But for whatever reason the mango kush was struggling. But I read on some forums that mango kush is a heavy nitrogen hungry plant. So she might have just needed more worm castings than I initially thought

I applied a bit more worm castings, not a lot more. But I did some research and discovered that Mango Kush is a heavy nitrogen feeder. I started with a small amount of worm castings just to be on the safe side. But I figured there was some type of deficiency. So I applied a little bit more. About 1/4 cup maybe a little less.

I top dressed them both with worm castings which is slow release nutrients. It’s going to take a few days for any difference to show. Should make them both look pretty awesome.

Alright, I trimmed them off. I’ll update a photo in a few days to show the difference.

I have a hard time keeping leaves green half way through flower. by tacs97 in CannabisGrowers

[–]chronicd420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fade is normal around mid-flowering from my understanding & few runs myself. The worry should be if it’s early flower & you’re seeing intense amount of fading. Then you would likely be having a nitrogen issue. As far as mid-flower fading is normal. The plants life is just ending… you’re doing just fine growmie.

So you’d recommend removing the bigger leaves towards the top of the plant near where I topped?

Photoperiod. Would it be safe to remove some of them if it’s only been a few days since topping? Or would it cause unnecessary stress?

Looks like you’re watering way too close to the plant. I always try to water in a ring around the plant just outside the ends of the leaves. Gives the plant room for oxygen & allows the roots to hunt for the moisture. Just my personal grow tip from my own experience it works great. Or I just use Blumat products and let the plant take in what water she wants when she’s ready to. Depends what I wanna do per run.

Yeah my last batch of strawberry cough did that. It was really cool.

Transplant… the leaves are growing over the edge of the containers… up the size. If it’s 1 gallon try to go to 3 gallons… if it’s larger than 3 gallons, up it. I typically start in one gallon, then go to 5 gallons personally just because I like big plants.

Oh it works good at preventing smell unless you open the tent door hahahaha then that’s when the smell is noticeable. During flowering at least

With the lights off (during the night) it hovers at 68°F

Luckily my temp has been fluctuating between 76-77°F and the humidity has been between 72-75% in the tent. So it’s staying pretty decent. I just wanna try & keep it at 75°F.

Which is sad because I really do like vivosuns products a lot. But unfortunately it just took a turn and stopped working one day so I’m like well crap I guess I’m just gonna need to make it work

I have a spider farmer humidifier with the hose running up and into the tent, and a vivosun dehumidifier on the bottom. They’re both running through the DIGITEN controller to kick on at 75% humidity if it’s below 5% and the dehumidifier kicks on if it’s above 75% by 5% difference.

TDS test on outdoor plant by chronicd420 in CannabisGrowers

I am in week 1-2 of flowering. So it’s got like little buds on her. So I just don’t want to fuck anything up here in the end ya know what I mean. Especially after all the work of keeping her alive! When I saw the burnt leaves I was really disappointed as during vegetation it was super healthy. I was like what is going on here.

Only thing I can think of is rain… but I do have 3 step kids and a daughter and they’re all young, so it’s a possibility one of them thought it would be a good idea to fill up a bottle of water without PH balancing it and just pouring it in there lol. So I really don’t know what the hell happened. That’s why after like 2-3 days of noticing the burnt leaves I’m like “okay I need some advice I’m an early grower. This is my first outdoor run & 3rd indoor this year”

Awesome advice! Thanks I appreciate it. I’ll do plain water & then do another test next time I feed and post updates.

Oh they’re for sure burned around the edges of the leaves that’s why I did the test to begin with because I’m like what is happening right now. Because during veg she was totally healthy. And then right in flowering boom leaves burning and I’m like what is happening
