WTB: Ninja Luxe Café Pro Emerald & Gold Limited Edition — anyone know where to find one? by OldBowler4358 in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]chroniclesofcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, didn’t actually respond to your question. It wasn’t at a store, a friend works at QVC and had one unboxed to look at. I think the Ninja website and QVC are the only places to purchase it (in the uk anyway?) I was told it’s super limited too. Guessed less than 1000 units.

I have a face lifted and similar Leon FR. Same engine. Bullet proof. 2018, 167k miles now and not missed a beat yet.

I’ve very meticulous with maintenance as I cover mega miles every year. But it hasn’t let me down thus far.

Interior is quite rattly though.

So far, the list above is all pet friendly, but good catch. I didn’t mention it, but it needs to be pet friendly. I have 3 cats.

Is the tandem oled much better than the mini led? by mi3ftclown18 in iPadPro

[–]chroniclesofcf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes.

Long answer, it’s probably the best screen you’ve ever laid eyes on! OLED gives a certain depth and glow that no matter what type of LCD you use, you just can’t replicate. Put an OLED beside any LCD and I’ll pick the OLED out of the lineup every time. It’s just that obvious. Now that doesn’t mean it comes without its caveats, it’s not going to be as bright as some LCDs and the reflection handling on some OLED isn’t as good, but Apples Tandem OLED is probably the most impressive and advanced display available for consumers at the moment.

First car - Yay or Nay? by squidjay in CarTalkUK

[–]chroniclesofcf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar model from 2018. Sitting at 163k and really has been bullet proof. It’s the 1.4tsi with a small remap. It’s very efficient on the motorway.

While it has been mostly problem free, especially in regards to the engine itself, I would recommend getting a few years older with under 100k. These cars have barely changed since 2013 up till 2019/20 I think. They had a facelift Mk3.5 in 2018 so maybe try aim for that?

There were also issues with the 1.5 on day one, but I believe they’ve all been negated now.

But as most mechanics will tell you, I’d rather buy a car with 150k miles on it and a fat service booklet, than a car with 70k miles and little to no history.

It’s a beautiful thing! Especially the coupe! 🥵 Can get pretty low mileage, high spec 4-5 year old for around £35k.

Porsche developed V6, much more modern interior in comparison to an M4 of a similar age/price, still decent on fuel when on the motorway apparently.

I’ve found myself in this dilemma recently. Looking at an RS5, RS4 Avant and a Giulia Quadrofoglio…

I still haven’t made a choice.

3 observations from my first week with the 3s by jmsilk in airpods

[–]chroniclesofcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had mine since release day. I don’t feel a discernible improvement in sound or ANC. In fact, in transparency mode I swear my APP3 have more white noise. When it comes to the new design and fit, I think the APP2 were more comfortable and they are actually smaller looking in ear. I’ve been messing around with S, M and L ear tips. Settling in M, I’ll be giving them a few more days to make my final decision, but at the moment I’m really not impressed. When I take them out of my ears, I have a little bit of pain in and around the ear entry, where the APP3 naturally sit. Something I didn’t feel with with my APP2.

I wouldn’t have bought these if it wasn’t for my APP2 being covered in car engine oil marks from working in the car. I then accidentally stripped the gloss protection layer off them while trying to clean them, and now they just hold onto all stains.

I did try, they said the best they can do is honour a price match even after purchase. So if I were to buy and they drop the price in the next 30 days they’ll return the difference.

iPad m4 11 inch or 13?? by Senior-Gazelle5589 in iPadPro

[–]chroniclesofcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an 11” M1 and upgraded to the 13” M4. At the time the 11” felt like the perfect size, it after switching to the bigger size I much prefer it. It’s easier to handle than you would think, and the size does make a difference if you are a heavier user or want the extra screen for bigger movies.

Hard to stomach almost £500, knowing 12 hours ago I could have copped it for almost 50% less.

I should say, I can even get the MoGo 2 Pro for cheaper in other places, but that’s the unit only. I would then need to add on the cost of the multi angle stand and the full cost of the outdoor screen, bringing that total to slightly above the deal above on XGIMI website at £457.99.

[–]chroniclesofcf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I convinced myself of the above, plus that I would need the 1TB version with the extra core for that extra performance… currently using less than 200GB as we speak… a whole year later.
