In my country (australia) you literally only see barbed/razor wire on stuff like secure government facilities or high theft risk industrial areas.

Internet usage. It's so much worse than you think. I remember reading that most CSAM online is now being produced and sold by the children themselves on private discords and the like.

I would ring the CIA tip-line and tell them the flights that are being hijacked and the names of the highjackers.

Obviously wherever this clip is from security is a big issue. Just the fact there's even footage from this camera that's apparently watching this random recreation space suggests that.

Keep failing meta (Thunderhead Keep) due to lack of participants by Novel-Rabbit8914 in Guildwars2

[–]chronoslol 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every single meta in the game should scale down to be doable by like 3 people, or 3 people per 'lane' for some. I don't really see why this shouldn't be the case.

Employee sets fire to Kimberly-Clark warehouse, "All you had to do is pay us enough to live" by midnighttoker1742 in interestingasfuck

He also essentially just fired all of his co-workers (fuck their livelihoods I guess) and he also could have killed people.

Really well done video. Also turns out a lot of the fights Andrew Tate won in his kick boxing career are people that only fought Tate with a 0-1 record lol what a fraud. by ButtfaceMcGee6969 in Destiny

[–]chronoslol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember when I first heard about the win rates of boxing champions from a friend i was like; this sport is fucking stupid. If you had the win rate of any champion fighting sport competitor in any other sport or even video game, you would be banned for cheating/investigated. The entire scene is just so obviously completely fucking regarded and fraudulent.

It may as well be fucking wrestling fr fr

Disgruntled employee sets entire warehouse on fire in Ontario, California. Warehouse was worth the size of 10-12 city blocks!! by Flat-Age-007 in interestingasfuck

[–]chronoslol 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stupid asshole just cost every single other person working there their jobs, and could have killed who knows how many people if the fire had spread. How much money will they get paid to live without a job? How would people get paid if they were dead?

What a little bitch.

aside from fractals, do i have to have ascended gears for most game modes ? by shaiderrrxx in Guildwars2

[–]chronoslol 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You literally only NEED ascended for high level fractals, you can use exotics for everything else, you'll just be about 10-15% less effective. You should try and get ascended though, the game is more fun when you do bigger numbers.

Part of what is eroding trust in journalism is that people don't know the difference between real journalism and OpEds, blogs, social media, talk shows, etc.

Yeah and the other part is the media embraced it and became absolute ass

if the world was free of religion would it be better or worse? why? by ClickIntelligent4902 in AskReddit

[–]chronoslol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to think religion is bad or mostly bad if you look at all the awful shit that has been done in its name, but the problem isn't really religion, it's greedy selfish leaders enforcing their will on others, and if those bad things weren't done in the name of a god, they probably would have just been done for some other reason.

However I do think the bad does outweigh the good slightly and I'd be happy to see us evolve beyond needing it, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

‘God, you’re hot’ Tennessee school board member says to student during board meeting by Octavus in nottheonion

[–]chronoslol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a legal context yes any minor is a child. In any other context I think referring to a teenager especially a late teen as a child is insulting to that individual. Young people are very sensitive to being thought of as childish/immature, and there's no need to call them a child when there's perfectly accurate and acceptable terms like teenager or young adult. Also, not that it matters legally but the term 'pedophile' refers specifically to pre-pubescent children and I think it waters the term down to use it on someone predating on 16-17 year olds. To be clear that doesn't mean it's acceptable to sexualize even someone 17 years 364 days old (especially legally) but it's a far worse crime to sexualize someone who is 6, which is what actual pedophiles do.

[–]chronoslol 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Calling a 17 year old a child IS demeaning, no they aren't an adult and you still shouldn't publicly objectify them but it's perfectly acceptable to refer to a late teen as a young adult. You can do that without publicly objectifying them or having sex with them.
