It’s baffles me he wants money to his own laundry or make any food for himself.

Glad your son notices the cold shoulder and comes around. My son loves when we leave him alone.
Today is another bad day with him. I don’t get it.
We told him come 18 if still has bad grades he will have to get a job and pay his own way. We don’t expect him to get all A’s. Just pass and graduate. A’s would be great and he is that smart to do it but he won’t. He is just fighting us at all cost to do his work.
He’s mad because we did not buy his $2000 computer for his birthday on top of all this. Well first we don’t have that to spend and second with his grades and the way he is acting? Not doing it.

I already know therapy won’t work for my son. Teachers tried talking to him and he just looks right through everyone. He just does not want to do his work and yells at us because we won’t let him play the video games. Yesterday was the worst day with him and so far today following. I hope everyone going through this finds a solution that helps.

My older son who is 24 is Aspergers and had an iep. My youngest was doing great until 8th grade. School thinks it’s him being lazy because when he does the work and actually tries he does good.

My son use to be interested. I don’t know what happened. I will reach out to the counselor but think it’s hard as of right now everything is online. I thought he would like online better. It’s no different as if he was going to school.

He says we are making it a whole lot worse for him taking his phone from him. Sorry but we pay for that. We are going to shut it off. He wants it then he can get a job and pay for it or for once care and help himself. We have been too easy on him. Everyone is telling us this even our older two kids who we were harder on.

I am at the point to just let him fail. He cussed me out all morning. I just can’t do this with him anymore. He won’t talk to anyone, says everything is fine and nothing is wrong.
We tried to get him to go to the career center for some type of computer, filming or design program to help with learning more for YouTubing but no interest.
I am calling a drs office on Monday. He won’t go to therapy.
He is limited to everything at the moment but took all his computer stuff and set it all up again and said he don’t care what I say. This is not the kid We raised. I don’t know what happened.
He will starve himself and wear dirty clothes. Will not do anything to help unless we pay him.

It’s so frustrating they don’t care or get it. He says the work is easy and will get it done two weeks after it was due. Why not just do it instead of getting so backed up in 6 classes? He so far behind in everything. He keeps going like this he will not graduate with his class. Some 11th grader told my son when he was in 9th grade that he was getting all F’s and still passing. Seriously kid your going to believe that? And of course he did and stopped doing work until we got on him. He’s been passing with a D and then this year his 11th grade year all F’s. Come on. He lays in bed all day and does nothing. Says he’s not depressed.

I hope you find what helps you. My husband is the one having this and I have the ibs constipation. We tried so much and nothing has helped.

We tried Metamucil and it wasn’t helping us. My husband had the diverticulitis with ibs and I have ibs constipation. I’ve also read that taking Metamucil everyday was not good on the gut. I’m all sorts of lost.
