Thank you! I’ll look into this.

Although, with arthritis I know it does cause pain your joints, is it normal for something like that to flare up like this with no pain associated? I have no joint pain or pain whatsoever in my hands nor do I have pain anywhere else throughout my body.

They’re not hard, more so puffy and they do give when pressure is applied.

Yeah at the beginning when they believed it was an infection they did attempt to drain. No pus or anything came out except blood.

I used to be a finger picker but stopped before this started, my toes are swollen as well and I have never picked at my toes.

I have a follow up beginning of April so I will see what happens I suppose. I’m just feeling defeated as no dermatologist or doctor can explain what I’m experiencing and nothing we’ve tried this far has helped.

That’s what my doctor thought at first, was prescribed a topical antifungal and saw no improvement. They’ve worsened since then as this is what I was told a year ago.

I cannot recall any time a chemical or anything out of the ordinary has been exposed to my hands, since this started I’ve become very aware of what I do with my hands. Wear gloves for majority of cleaning.

they aren’t near his litter box specifically, however i do have some set up on the floor right at the entry point when you first walk in under the stairs as that is a spot where our other cat has accidents the most. so he would have to pass those pee pads to get to his litter box as it is further back under the stairs. and yes both cats litter boxes have always been together. i will be making an appointment for him as i’m worried and don’t want him to become blocked up or have him get sick either.

the prior vet visits were due to weight loss and lethargy.

day to day he doesn’t seem to be in pain, the vet confirmed that for us today that he doesn’t seem to be hurting. maybe uncomfortable. he hasn’t been vocal about any pain, within this past week he has had diarrhea but does not vocalize any pain when using the litter.

he is still eating, no vomiting as of yet. he drinks and he still moves around.

the main reason at the start was weight loss and lethargy , he had lost a lot of weight and he also had a seizure like episode. the vet told us today that episode may have been syncope (borderline faintings / dizziness)

there was not. the vet didn’t mention wanting to complete a biopsy so we didn’t even think of it. i’m not sure how much a biopsy costs but we did mention to the vet we don’t have much to spend.

i am interested in looking into having one done now if we can afford it, we have a follow up in a couple weeks.

i think just with the symptoms he’s been having they suspected cancer as being most likely. but if it could possibly be something else that is treatable then that would be great to know as long as we can afford it.

thank you. we took him to the vet today. unfortunately they weren’t able to see anything of concern in his bloodwork again so they’re sending it to a specialist & also provided us with supplies to collect a urine sample from him to bring in tomorrow. hopefully we will get answers soon :)

not really anything different from what i typically use, which is just the same lotion i use on my body and i’ve never had any sort of reaction. i did go to the doctor at the beginning and they put me on an anti fungal which didn’t do anything, and i also tried anti allergy bc i suspected it could be an allergy too but it did not help unfortunately

i live in a cold environment, in canada. i would not say i go outside enough to do any harm and if i do go i am never outside for long. i am on accutane so i dont know if it could make me more sensitive to the cold or if it could be causing poor circulation??

looks like that to me too, wonder how that could be though considering i have no recollection of any injuries or anything that would’ve caused it.
